More news on Madonna's upcoming album

(a DrownedMadonna exclusive)

Madonna has just completed a new song called "Stare" with Marius DeVires.Nelle Hooper was asked to work with Maddy on a dance song with heavy guitars, that's what Madonna hasn't founbd yet.She is looking for a heavy guitar sound but with a dance contamination, that's why she decided to approach Nelle.

So,as of right now, these are the rumored tracks that have been recorded...

"Stare"
"Goddess"
"I Love New York"
"Imagine"
"In An Instant"
"Liquid Love"
"The Devil Wouldn't Recognize You"

We also know that Bloodshy are working with Madonna on a song they describe as a "disco thumper".There is also a rumor that she's working with Emilio Estefan (Gloria's husband) on a Latin-sounding song.

All this Madonna news keeps me anticipating the release.
It'll definately be a bigger album for Madonna just by the description of her new musical approach.
She should silence the computers and bring back the real instruments.
And no more vocoder. no no no!
We seen how good her voice is live and that's what i want on the new record, and im sure she'll gain more success this time around

Oh and "The Devil Wouldn't Recognize You" is not a rumor, it's a fact.
According to Mike Mcnight she's written that song with Mirwais for the musical she's working on. Apparently she was going to incorporate it into her tour.

I know people hate her version of Imagine and i understand their anger.

But i don't care

I hope Madonna releases a studio version of it. Not for the album though, just as a single.

And i hope there's club mixes of it too, so we can bring Imagine to clubs everwhere

From the looks of things,it seems that Madonna is gonna give us a more diverse, more uptempo album than 'American Life'.I love the fact that she is working with several different producers, there will be more diversity and different sounds. The fact that she is working with Bloodshy and Nelle Hooper (again) shows that she isn't abandoning dance music, either.I'm thinking this album will be very eclectic.

ENOUGH of Mirwais. Can't she hunt down Stephen Bray for a change? Surely he must be done writng music for The Color Purple by now.

Yeah, she wrote it last year for her musical 'Hello Suckas'.The song has been described as "very 20s sounding...with an old school feel".But if her musical doesn't get off the ground,it's likely that she will use some of the songs for her album.

I doubt she would ever work with Stephen Bray again. She was pissed when he released her early demos on a CD called 'Pre-Madonna (later pressings were titled'In the Beginning').

When we think of Mirwais we think of the computery sounds and vocoder. But he's a great musician too according to Madonna

Im not a big fan of Bray in reality. He's crafted some good songs with Madonna, but some crap as well.
Now Patrick Leonard is a different story. He is top notch.

In my estimation, her work with Bray deepened after the Like A Virgin album. Then she just dropped him cold turkey. When I think of Mirwais I think "been there, done that," and she's the one who told Shep Pettibone that an artist never repeats themselves. Even if she were to write with him, someone else should produce. That was a wise move she made in writing with Pat Leonard and having William Orbit produce for Ray Of Light.

Mirwais IS a great musician and he has a cool, edgy sound that worked well on 'Music'.He's responsible for bringing alot of guitars into her music.

I disagree.I don't mind having "Imagine" on the album, but it should NOT be a single. It would surely fail.

Imagine is a turkey, but the rest sounds interesting. I've always like Nellee Hooper productions - I wonder what they'll cook up!

Yeah, the Gap ads were "WTF" material for the ages. I really didn't understand that. Ok, I understood the $10M paycheck, but seriously - WTF?

Yes
lets hope that the sense that was knocked into her remains there.

Even though the video of Missy Elliot in a kilt during Into the Groove left some patches open confused

i've got to say, though, madge can thank scalpers for her shows selling out. both shows i went to, for which i paid less than face value for each pair of tickets, had delayed start times due to tons of empty seats in prime locations. all of my friends who saw the show in different cities said the same thing. it was so bad that people from the top leels were being escorted down to floor, first level, and pit seats to fill them. i had nosebleed seats at the side of stage and ended up in the pit because there was nobody there.

madonna's tour sold out but only at the cost of touts, not because fans made it sell out.

True, hopefully the scalpers know better next time. Many fans couldn't go because of the rediculous prices the scalpers were going for.
