Yes, I'm back with my 3rd Marvin Gaye thread on my 3rd Marvin Gaye album. I've owned it for a couple of months now and to no surprise is a great album! Personally not as great as Here My Dear but it's good get those positive vibes. In relation of Here my Dear and What's going On, Here my dear full of passion & anger and What's going on is full of love for God and each other. It reminds me of the relationship of The Black album and Lovesexy One's so dark and mysterious (We'll before it was offically released, it was) and one's so positive and yet both are great. So far Marvin has yet to Disapoint and the vibes I getting from these album looks like it wont be happening. The sort of negative thing I have to say about What's going On is the Cover art. Can anyone explain?

Whats going on is the most Prophetic album Motown has ever seen, recorded in late 1968 and sat on Motowns shelf for 2 years because Motown was Scared of its content.due to the fact he was speaking of things Yet to come.

Marvin Once stated that God used him as a tool to get the message across.and i solely believe that. this was not your obvious Marvin album.a classic that stands the test of time. and the messages on that album still are the worlds problems today.

His best ever work. Beautiful stuff.

Its very poignant.. so much so that when I had it on last weekend, I had to switch it off.... I really didnt need to be thinking about the problems of the world that day.

Good work though... very together and complete
