Jennifer Lopez w/ Fat Joe - "Hold You Down"

Wasn't this shit released as "All I Have" in 2003? I swear if you overlay the audio it's the SAME song, except the Fat Joe/LL Cool J discrepancy (and you know she's going low rent when she has to hire out Fat Joe). Hilarious.

Anyway, check out the predictable video (http://www.mtv.com/music/...ndex.jhtml) if you want a laugh - a ridiculously glammed-up Jenny returns to the hood to stare disinterestedly off into the sunset while random shots of "ghetto kids" flash up on the screen. Is it my imagination, or has she not changed her clothing since 1998? Apparently, J.Ho says that this video was shot in the neighborhood in which she grew up. She's still trying to appear street - "straight from the hood" - it seems. falloff

I can't believe she's still trying to work that "look at me, i'm still street" angle. Give it a rest already for the love of god.

How funny is the MTV commentary, too? I wonder how much the people who have to come up with this shit get paid?

After working it out in the hot, Fabolous-laced remix of "Get Right," Jennifer Lopez is back with another fine hip-hop-flavored collabo. This time around, "Jenny from the Block" hooks up with fellow Bronx native Fat Joe for "Hold You Down," a testament to hometown love. It's been more than two years since Jennifer last took time out from her movie career to hit us with some music, and this latest video proves that the "Rebirth" of Ms. Lopez was well worth the wait.

J.Lo hasn't been street since she was wearing jet black hair, hoop earrings, fire truck red lipstick and biker shorts in her Fly Girl days.

Does anyone else find this song hysterical in light of the fact that she was married to her sweetheart from the Bronx, then dumped him as soon as she hit it big?
