MJ's The Ultimate Collection: Unreleased Tracks

For those who own it or at least have heard it somehow.. all of these previously unreleased songs.. "Cheater", "Monkey Business", "Someone Put Your Hand Out", "We've Had Enough", "Fall Again", "The Way You Love Me", "Beautiful Girl", "Scared Of The Moon"... with a few slight lyrical re-workings and musical enhancement... they're absolutely brilliant. confused

What a damn shame that he swaps sh*t like this on his (more recent for most songs) albums in favor of music that's either commercially appealing or injected with the stink of another rather than his own flavor.

How much better would Invincible have been, if this had been the tracklisting:

1. 2000 Watts
2. Heartbreaker
3. Shout
4. Break Of Dawn
5. Heaven Can Wait
6. You Rock My World
7. Speechless
8. Xscape
9. Unbreakable
10. Butterflies
11. You Are My Life
12. We've Had Enough
13. Whatever Happens
14. The Lost Children
15. Threatened

nah this would hav been tight!!

1 Unbreakable
2 Heartbreaker
3 Xscape
4 Break of Dawn
5 Heaven Can Wait
6 Rock my World
7 Butterflies
8 Speechless
9 We've Had Enough
10 Cry
11 The Lost Children
12 Whatever Happens
13 Threatened

Its such a shame the title track is one of the weakest on the album, doesnt really make sense. Privacy doesnt fit with the rest of the cd, its like a history throw away. 2000watts sounds dated despite being rather original and interesting. you are my life is his worst ballad in years.

Apart from that, invincible is really good!

PYT is fucking serious change! I love that loud fingersnap that was in the original. Everything was different, its basically nother song.

Another highlight is Someone Put Your Hand Out, oh my go that wouldve been another GREAT track worked out for Invincible. And if he finished Beautiful Girl.... touched

Me too. By far my fav track off boxset. I like the fact it is unfinished. Lovely song. "beutiful girl" shoulda replaced "break of dawn".

"someone put ur hand out" is a track i owned for many years. it was off a Pepsi cassette.

shows Teddy can be diverse when he wants to be.....

This is the best variation I've seen so far. I really can't stomach those slow tunes about kids that break the continuity. 16-17 tracks is a bit much.

Yeah, Beautiful Girl could've been lovely. Still, it's pretty damn fine as it is.
I wish he had finished In The Back, too. That's another great song. music

I don't like "break of dawn" much. Wasn't "break of dawn" actually dr freeze. Yes THE dr freeze who did Bell biv devoes "poison" and Color me badds "i wanaa sex you up"? That was a huge shock!

I still love the captain eo track "we are here to change the world".....love it!

Break Of Dawn was with Dr. Freeze.

Heaven Can Wait was with Teddy.

They're both great but I prefer the latter. smile

yeah, "heaven can wait" is worth it for the incredible vocals. it would be nothing without the vocals. MJ sounds superb on it.....

Break of Dawn, Heaven Can Wait, Butterflies and Whatever Happens are some of the best vocals/songs he's done since Off the Wall and maybe Thriller. But it seems like whenever there's the possibility of things getting back on track there's some personal drama--a collapse, an allegation, bad botox, label drama. Perhaps I exaggerate but the possibilities for Invincible were definitely cut short. I would have loved to see him perform these songs in an intimate setting or at least a damn video. Antonio Banderas on a stool w/Santana is basically how I envisioned Whatever Happens.

Mikes demo of PYT is MUCH better, more classic and more slicker that the one that made the album. Thats a classic in its own right, but the demo was better.

Not really. Michael wrote it, presented the tape to Teddy, Teddy helped change the lyrics in a verse, and that was it.
