AND THE NOMINATIONS FOR WORST SINGER/ENTERTAINER TURNED ACTOR ARE..... Why is it that actors always think they can sing and singers always think they can act??. The transition is not always easy as many entertainers such as Eminem & mariah carey found out, anyway in order to celebrate the "achievements" of musicians in the film inudustry i present to you the first ever, semi annual, Prince.Org "EASTER EGGS" awards!!!!!       
here are the nominees WORST SINGER TURNED ACTRESS: Madonna : for her role in the smash hit "swept away" Kelly Clarkson : for the hit "from Justin To Kelly" Missy Elliot : for "Honey" Lil Kim : In "Juwanna Mann" Mariah Carey : for "Glitter" WORST SINGER TURNED ACTOR: Tyrese : for "2 fast 2 Furious" Usher : for "Light It Up" Justin Guarini : for the smash "From Justin To Kelly" Genuwine : for "Juwanna Mann" WORST RAPPER IN A MOVIE: Eminem(cheers and applause!!!) :for the comedy drama "eight Mile" Busta Rhymes : for his useless role in "Shaft" Ice Cube : for "Torque" Cam'Ron : for "Paid In Full" Ludacris : for "2 Fast 2 Furious" BARBARA STREISAND LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FOR WORST SINGER TURNED ACTRESS: Madonna : for countless memorable movie roles..... Cher : for those teriffically horrible performances in the 80's Whitney Houston: for such classic roles in the "bodyguard" and others Janet Jackson : "Poetic Justice", "Nutty professor 2" Tina Turner : "Mad max" JERRY SPRINGER LIFETIME ACHIVEMENT AWARD FOR WORST SINGER TURNED ACTOR: 1.Prince(cheers and applause!!!!) : for such roles in "Purple Rain", "under The Cherry Moon" and the movie phenomenon of the late 80's "Graffti Bridge" 2.Wyclef Jean : although he's been around roughly for a decade,his movie performances are so dreadfully nauseating they merit such a nomination 3.Vanilla Ice : did any of u see his movie???? itz Fucking Horrible!!!! 4.LL Cool J : Just when did he become such an in demand actor??? Mark Anthony : dreadful singer, fucking shitty actor WORST MODERN DAY MUSICAL OR DANCE MOVIE: "Honey" "U Got Served" "From Justin To Kelly" "Havana Nights : Dirty Dancing 2" "drum Line" well there are your choices , just vote for whichever nominee u think is most deserving of their awards(granted all the nominees deserve awards). the ballots will then be counted and the "easter eggs" will be handed out! Cher's performances in the 80's were horrible? Um, no.

Mariah in Glitter so deserves to win, all you hatters can't take that away from her, I don't care if every drag queen belives it was the best performance since TOTSIE, but mariah stunk so bad it was good.

I can't give credibility to anyone who says Cher's acting was bad in the 80s. I mean, seriously - 
Tina was hot in Tommy and Madmax Beyond Thunderdome too. In Madonna's case - since when does picking bad movies make you a bad actor? The best have done it. Her work in Dangerous Game should have been enough to silence the naysayers. People choose to think it's worse than it really is. | |

she was horrid in Dangerous Games..And no, its not just the films..her performances themselves are horrid..Camille Pagllia did a wonderful essay on why madonna's perfromances suck so bad..ill have to see if i can find it and post it..... that being said, madge is great when she plays herself...ala Who's That Girl and A League of Our Own....but thats not acting now is it? Cher didn't miss with her movies in the 80s! Each performance was great, even when the movies were just OK (in the case of "Witches"). I like Cher as a singer and I can understand people having issues wiht her music but her acting is amazing. | |
