Bjork isnt overrated at all.. sometimes underated

am not speaking from a fans view, i do listen to her, but i dont think everything she done is GREAT, the reason why you must have put her up the list is due to her FANS thinking she cant do wrong, but thats not overrated, thats just bias fans opinons..

overrated to me is Fiddy, i know he gets soo much hate on the board, but i love rap music but he i cant not understand!! Coldplay Keane to name a few

Many of todays artists are overrated, whether its Britney JLo, Avril. But most teen artists are overrated so lets not pick on them. Instead I'll point out the ones that served longevity and are still overrated

1. Sting: His music with the Police is good, but when he went solo everything fell to shambles. He's really not that great

2. R.Kelly: Just, why does everone think he's some great songwriter???

3. Elvis: The King of Rock??? Nope. I would give that credibility to Little Richard anyday. I don't think Elvis even lifted a pen in his whole career as a musician?? And yet he's the king of rock???

4. P.Diddy: Need i say anymore??? Though i like his clothes.....

I'll add to this later wink

i have always felt that about that man, but i guess during the time he came out he was way ahead of his time back then. though am still surprise how much young fans he always gets through the years, their ears not mine i guess.

I don't mind his music at all. But to claim he's the King of Rock is too much... He may of had influenced rock, but it wasn't his own mind and career moves which made that happen

Eminem---his fans think he's bold and creative.I just find him boring and contrived.

Abba---for the most part, there aren't too many 70s bands and artists that I don't like, but I never understood what's so great about Abba.Sure,"Dancing Queen" is a nice song, but their other songs put me to sleep.

R.Kelly---I've seen people refer to him as "the king of today's R&B" disbelief

Usher

Alicia Keys---yeah,she's cute, has a decent voice and can play piano. But did she really deserve 5 freakin' Grammys for a mediocre debut album?! Critics act as if she is the female Stevie Wonder.

And to continue.....

This is the Canada Edition (and im canadian)

Alanis Morisette: She's just too much. Her albums are so overrated by Canadian media and i live in Canada

Shania Twain: Okay i admit i bough a lot of things from shania. I think she's incredibly hot and has a decent singing voice. But guess why she's famous??? That's carrect, Mutt Lange (is that how you spell his last name??" anyways, he got a hard on looking at Shania's gorseous ass, so he offered to help her, and who better than Mr. ACDC to do it for her??? Remember her 1st album? IT BOMBED!!! Lucky for her Mutt came to pull her out of the fix she got into.

Celine Dion: Another case of an old man helping to move your career forward. Her old husband Rene, helped Dion reach the top, but on top of having a great career and lots of money, she's stuck with that Santa Clause wannabe...

Shania doesn't bug me because:

a) Unlike J.Lo and all the other pretenders, she actually grew up in a hellhole, and it's made her humble.

b) She puts on a hell of a live show.

c) When she doesn't have an album out, she's nowhere to be found (can't more celebrities be like this?)

JLo: Yes she's been around for some time BUT why do we love her so much? Jennifer Lopez, the backup dancer for Janet Jackson got greedy and spat in Janet's face as she left to persue her own career. She could dance.... But could she act? Could she sing? Well today she has 4 studio albums and a lot of movies that i haven't seen....
The albums sell quite well, but is she talented..... the answer lies withing those records..... wink

I agree her music is overrated, though. But I consider her the ABBA of the 90's. She just makes music that is undeniably FUN and STUPID and relentlessly hooky. But All Music Guide and the other reviewers give her wayyyyy too much credit.

Up was not a great album at all sad
It came with 2 cds of different sounds because she couldn't choose which way her album wanted to sound, country or rock/pop.

Out of the 19 songs on that record, i like about 6 at most.....

Yeah, it was crap.

Funny, I like most of ABBA's stuff but Come On Over is basically Shania's only good stand-alone record.

Now all her shit is sounding the same ("Party For Two" barf). She was great for a while in the 90's, but.....

I like Alicia. I think she's one of the most promising artists out there. Also, her second album was a ton better than the first so we may see even greater things from her yet.

Yeah, when she's not busy stealing melody lines, she's being championed as the RETURN OF SOUL or shit like that. Fuck off, Alicia!

Come on Over was amazing. I remember that time of my life so clearly and happily. THat album at the time had more effect on me than Ray of Light.
There were so many big singles off that album and they were all fun and great.

From this Moment On will always be the ultimate wedding song IMO. Just beautiful

Can't believe no one mentioned these highly, overrated, bland artists:

1) 50 Cent, G-Unit, the Game, all of them wanksta's

2) Beyonce

3) Destiny's Child

4) Brandy

5) Usher
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
