I know there are plenty of people on the org who love hardcore, extreme music. I just picked up the CD by Norma Jean, and it's intense. It's like aggressive, faster Pantera with no solos or groove. I say Pantera because ths singer has a bit of Anselmo tone but it's still straight up Cookie Monster. The songs switch time singatures wildly and the album really never lets up. The middle track is ten minutes...totally heavy, slow, epic. Like Isis without the Depeche Mode parts or Mastodon without the old-school harmonized guitars. Not the heaviest thing I've heard in a while, but the most intense.
