This song so cool, every time I hear the phrase " Call Me " anywhere, I start singing the next verse " If you need someone to talk to! Call Me, Satisfaction guaranteed. " It sticks with me after all these years. lol

Me too.Bought it in the fall of '81.I flipped it over and played the B-side "When You Touch Me" and felt that it should be a single in it's own right.Sure enough,it was released as a single in the spring of '82.

I got the 45 also. I remember them playing "When You Touch Me" on the radio the next year. I didn't know they had released it as a single though. I simply flipped my 45 over and started playing the B Side the next year. lol

What happened was,the band kept telling their record label that they wanted to finally release a ballad as a single. The label said "No way".But radio stations began playing "When You Touch Me" and the response was tremendous. So in the early spring of 1982 (shortly after "Let's Celebrate" peaked on the charts),they officially released "When You Touch Me" as a single and it became a very popular slow jam.

That lyric is unintentionally funny lol

She's ready to take her friend's man with no shame. And why does she have to offer him a dime? Is he that cheap? Is she that desperate for him to call? confuse

They were great. The last thing I heard from Skyy was "Givin' It To You (Straight From The Left Side)" in the late 1980s. The same thing happened to Skyy as the rest of the R&B/funk bands, the dull 1990s came around. Lots of the other old groups tour but I haven't heard a peep out of Skyy. I did get a chance to see them live once in the mid to late 1980s though.

"Givin It To You (From The Left Side)" was a hit in 1986.They had a few other hits after that: "Start Of A Romance" and "Real Love" from 1989.The latter song reached Number One on the R&B charts. They faded away once the 90s began.
