Golden Earring This dutch band is probably also known by the "older" young american and English people.
They excist 40 years this year, and are still going strong!! The non-dutch will probably know their song RADAR LOVE which is coverd by many famous bands (like U2. they played it at their Popmart tour) and probably Twilight zone They are one of the less bands who could have had a break through in the USA, but they just did not want it. Only because they did not want to live in the USA, they rather be in The Hague. Now isn't that weird? This thread is kind of an appreciation thread for them, and I am curios how many non dutchies know some of their songs? I think they are pretty good for a dutch band! Some huge hits in Holland were; When the lady smiles Clearnight, moonlight Twilight Znne Radar love Going to the run I can't sleep without you Long blond Animal Another 45 miles Paradise in distress Burning stuntman Bombay Back home and recently the acoustic version of I've just lost somebody (original 1968) the beautiful ones, you always seem to loose | |
