I can understand that.I'm certainly not thrilled with everything she's done these last couple of years either. But I always look forward to her new albums and tours.I wanna see and hear what she's gonna do next.I guess what I'm trying to say is....I like the journey and I'm gonna stick around for it.She's always evolving and re-inventing herself.Who's to say that the next CD won't rival 'Ray Of Light'?

I have to say, I more look forward now adays to see what Madonna will be wearing and what style her hair is, more than listening to her sing..

smile

lol wait and see.You just might be surprised. The news about the new CD sounds really exciting.

(a DrownedMadonna exclusive)

Madonna has just completed a new song called "Stare" with Marius DeVires.Nelle Hooper was asked to work with Maddy on a dance song with heavy guitars, that's what Madonna hasn't founbd yet.She is looking for a heavy guitar sound but with a dance contamination, that's why she decided to approach Nelle.

So,as of right now, these are the rumored tracks that have been recorded...

"Stare"
"Goddess"
"I Love New York"
"Imagine"
"In An Instant"
"Liquid Love"
"The Devil Wouldn't Recognize You"

We also know that Bloodshy are working with Madonna on a song they describe as a "disco thumper".There is also a rumor that she's working with Emilio Estefan (Gloria's husband) on a Latin-sounding song.

Sounds like all rumours so far That's a lot of hands in Maddy's pie...giggle

She hasn't done a mega multi-producer thing since (or before) "Bedtime Stories" but it could be interesting. Every album of hers usually has a lot of names attached and then it widdles down to only one or two main co-producer....please say it isn't Mirwais this time!

Yeah,we're really just dealing with alot of rumors right now (lol),who knows which tracks will make the final tracklist? But we do know that several of these songs really exist...

"I Love New York"---this has been described as a rock song, with Maddy playing guitar.Lyrically,it's not very deep...just a fun song that she wrote and recorded while on tour last year.

"Liquid Love"---this is actually an outtake from the 'Music' sessions. It's a collaboration with William Orbit. At an early stage,Maddy wanted to use this song on 'American Life',but it didn't fit the concept of the album. So hopefully,it will finally appear on the new album.

"Stare"----this song was just recorded.

"Imagine"---a studio version of this song exists, and as of right now,it is slated to appear on the new album.

"The Devil Wouldn't Recognize You"---this song was written and recorded for a musical titled 'Hello Suckas' that Maddy is working on.Since it has been described as a "20s-sounding number",I think it's unlikely that it will appear on the new CD,which is shaping up as an uptempo dance album.

The other two titles---"Goddess" and "In An Instant"---are questionable, and we don't know if these songs even exist. The lyrics to the latter were printed on a fansite, but who knows if it's the real deal?

If she's stupid enough to put Imagine on there, I'm not gonna buy it. That's the thing with Madonna - in the past few years, she doesn't know when to quit with an idiotic idea. She's still working with Missy. And Lotsa De Casha - bitch is fucking laughing at us.

Oh come on....you wouldn't buy a new Madonna album just because of one song that you don't like? But yet you would buy a new Janet album with all those ridiculous interludes? lol

As for working with Missy....Madonna is just returning the favor.Remember,Missy remixed her song "American Life",and she appeared in a video that was used on the RIT tour. There are worse people to collaborate with.Missy is cool.

I know, that's insane not to buy a new madonna album over Imagine. And her version was quite nice IMO, so haters can fuck off....

And apparently 3 tracks already heard are dance tracks which are insanely catchy.....

You do take everything way too literally. lol

And Missy is a fuckin' sellout, it's an embarrassment for Madonna to work with her. Even jayaredee thinks this - get with the program!

Yeah Missy is absolute crap... i dont think she's cool

Im afraid Madonna and Missy have come to close for the wrong reasons, and i see no way in them separating. Joining with Missy and Britney is a very unMadonna thing to do.
Lets hope she steers clear of Eminem

Her last good record was Miss-E: So Addictive

a) First they did that awful AL remix (and I mean AWFUL!)

b) The Gap ad

c) The craptastic Into The Hollywood Groove

d) Missy showed up for no reason at the VMA's

e) The Reinvention video

f) The REALITY SHOW pit stop

As far as I'm concerned, any bitch with a reality show has automatically lost all credibility. See also: Faye Dunaway.

come on now... let's look at a few things. Vanilla Ice, Big Daddy Kane, Lenny Kravitz, Ricky Martin, Sandra Bernhart, Rosie O'Donnell before she was the queen of nice. Jennifer Grey

Madonna doesn't always pick the popular people to hang with, but she doesn't has to she is MADONNA. she is the Star among stars. it's not like she is picking un talented people to make music a la Prince.
You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

Yeah, Prince picked some untalented people over the years. Madonna was one of them, I think.

And Prince's cast of untalented people just grows and grows. After Miles Davis, Mavis Staples, Larry Graham and Patti LaBelle amongst others, he picked the most untalented person to work with a few years ago; this Maceo Parker. What a sad sod.

Being that Madonna garnered a major acting award (which Prince could never do) and neither Carmen Electra, Vanity or Mayte could write a decent song, win a Grammy - let alone pack an arena - like SHE can, isn't it safe to say that calling her untalented is total b.s.?

I agree that calling her untalented is total b.s.....buuuuut if you're going to cite her Golden Globe, you must also cite her 9 (!) Razzies. lol

Cite Prince's Razzies, why don't you? This rush to prove who's more untalented never seems to bring up men.

More news on the new album

From USA Today Chat with Edna Gunderson---

Burbank,California: I work in the music industry (a rather degrading,low-paying job) but was able to hear two new Madonna tracks.Unfortunately,if I heard them, they should leak to the net soon. The best way to describe them is "danceable rock".They reminded me of Chumbawamba, but much better musically.Needless to say,I'm pretty impressed and I haven't been impressed by Madonna since 1998...

Edna Gunderson: I haven't heard any of the new Madonna tracks, though I hear she's modeling some of the sound after The Darkness and is going for a rock beat (could she be upgrading to electric guitar now?).

Some news on the RIT DVD (from Madonnalicious)

Re-Invention Tour DVD: The Extras

News is coming in to Madonnalicious that these extras are being considered for the Re-Invention Tour DVD,due out in October/November this year:

---20-minute featurette entitled "Jamie King: Creating A Re-Invention"
---tourbook gallery
---and most interestingly something that is described as 5-Stage Film Features....could this be the background videos we all want to see? Let's hope.

In discussion,a friend of mine had this to say:

"Five Stage film features could refer to the five different screens (and therefore the videos this refers to). There were two screens that were in front of the stage, the one large one in back and two small ones that raised and lowered.I hope this is the case!"

EXCLUSIVE: The Latest On New Album and DVD

Madonna's DVD will be released around the world on November 14 with the tentative name: "Get Up Lisbon--Madonna--The Re-Invention Tour Live From Portugal".It will be a double DVD.

Our insiders told us that the November 14 date was correct---but as with "all things Madonna",it could change by a week or two.The title of the DVD hasn't been confirmed yet nor have the extras.

Madonna's new album is in the works and may be half way done---but Warner doesn't have it on the release schedule for 2005 as of yet.The label really wants to put it out before the holidays but Madonna may want to put it out spring 2006 (an insider recently mentioned a summer 2006 tour...hmmmm).

Maybe there will be a single to go along with the documentary but it's still unconfirmed.

Madonna is still very unhappy with all the changes at WB.

That would make sense. The second disc is also gonna contain several extras, like the 20-minute featurette titled "Jamie King: Creating A Re-Invention".She should also include the original "American Life" video.

I just bought the new issue of Rolling Stone with Bob Marley on the cover, and it contains an unexpected surprise. There is a big 2-page Versace ad that features this picture and another photo (the one where Maddy is wearing a 70s-styled outfit, talking on the phone).
