why would they need Evita and Dick Tracy for the documentry?

Anyways is it going straight to dvd? i certainly hope so for it will not do good in theatres

Because knowing Madonna, she's going to take yet another opportunity to try and convince the world that she can act. I wish that they'd just give the bitch a fucking Oscar and let the entire subject die already. Don't the Razzies know that by nominating her ever year, they're just encouraging her? It's a fucking vicious cycle, and I for one want to put a stop to it.

but it's for her tour documentry, how are they going to incorporate 2 movies which have nothing to do with the tour?

On the tour, she performs two songs from those movies ("Lament" from 'Evita' and "Hanky Panky" from her 'Dick Tracy'-inspired soubdtrack),so maybe they wanna add some additional scenes from the actual movies...to kind of tie it all in?

In any case, the news that she has requested this footage is encouraging. It proves that it is really gonna come out.

Uh...the only problem with your argument is that we're talking about a tour documentary here....there is no "acting" involved. If she wanted to convince the world she could act,I think she would be doing a regular movie where she would be playing a character.

No acting involved? Madonna puts up a front in public quite often, I don't think she's above it in a documentary (see Truth Or Dare for confirmation of this - of course she was just playing up her chutzpah, so it wasn't much of a stretch). She'll just make a more hyper-realized version of herself for the cameras, so it won't be bad acting, though.

Oh I agree. But I still don't think making a tour documentary proves that she is trying to "convince the world that she can act".Half of it's gonna be live performance anyway, which is hardly the way to show off one's acting skills wink

Exactly
this project is most likely being made to contrast her Truth or Dare days and show the world how she's changed as a person and while on tour

Ohhh, ok, I see what you were saying. I hope she doesn't try movies again - she's proven it's not for her.

Look for the Re-Invention tour documentary to come to DVD in May, 2005.
(They just asked us for permission to use clips from EVITA and DICK TRACY.)

Let me just add - they asked for DVD rights, however it could wind up appearing in theatres or on cable before a DVD is released. Im not sure what their plan is.

Jestyr works for Disney. The movies 'Dick Tracy' and 'Evita' were made by Disney,so Madonna would have to contact them to ask for permission to use any footage from these films.

Isnt' it about time, Madonna pack it in???

I mean, Madonna go take your billions and trillions of dollars and enjoy them. retire already..

I love Madonna, but i just feel her voice and her face are used up... Lately all of her music shounds like she is forcing her voice and straining it... And quite frankly she dont get the same publicity or hype that she use to...

I would rather see her go out gracefully, then be one of those has beens that is PUSHING for something that dont want her anymore...

I think Maddy still has alot to offer.True, she may not be as popular as before, but the same could be said for most artists who have been around 20 years or more. For Madonna, retirement is not an option.Just last year, she went on a successful tour that grossed $124 million.I think that proves that she still has alot of fans who are interested in her.

I was waiting to see how long it would take you to repond mr. davideye.. wink

I dont take away the fact that madonna can gross the bucks while on tour.. but I being one of her biggest fans, I have to say, she has left me less than thrilled with her performances and music in the last number of years... I just dont feel she has the same spunk (no pun intended) as she use to!

That's one hilarious cover. Best faked Madonna cover I've ever seen was the one for Hollywood where she's standing over the dude in a bathtub (it was actually an Italian shoe ad photoshopped). So much better than the shitty cover they finally released.

I can understand that.I'm certainly not thrilled with everything she's done these last couple of years either. But I always look forward to her new albums and tours.I wanna see and hear what she's gonna do next.I guess what I'm trying to say is....I like the journey and I'm gonna stick around for it.She's always evolving and re-inventing herself.Who's to say that the next CD won't rival 'Ray Of Light'?

If she's stupid enough to put Imagine on there, I'm not gonna buy it. That's the thing with Madonna - in the past few years, she doesn't know when to quit with an idiotic idea. She's still working with Missy. And Lotsa De Casha - bitch is fucking laughing at us.

(a DrownedMadonna exclusive)

Madonna has just completed a new song called "Stare" with Marius DeVires.Nelle Hooper was asked to work with Maddy on a dance song with heavy guitars, that's what Madonna hasn't founbd yet.She is looking for a heavy guitar sound but with a dance contamination, that's why she decided to approach Nelle.

So,as of right now, these are the rumored tracks that have been recorded...

"Stare"
"Goddess"
"I Love New York"
"Imagine"
"In An Instant"
"Liquid Love"
"The Devil Wouldn't Recognize You"

We also know that Bloodshy are working with Madonna on a song they describe as a "disco thumper".There is also a rumor that she's working with Emilio Estefan (Gloria's husband) on a Latin-sounding song.

Sounds like all rumours so far. That's a lot of hands in Maddy's pie...giggle

She hasn't done a mega multi-producer thing since (or before) "Bedtime Stories" but it could be interesting. Every album of hers usually has a lot of names attached and then it widdles down to only one or two main co-producer....please say it isn't Mirwais this time!

Oh come on....you wouldn't buy a new Madonna album just because of one song that you don't like? But yet you would buy a new Janet album with all those ridiculous interludes? lol

As for working with Missy....Madonna is just returning the favor.Remember,Missy remixed her song "American Life",and she appeared in a video that was used on the RIT tour. There are worse people to collaborate with.Missy is cool.
