Please 4give me I have 2 ask this (MJ Collection)

have been wating to make this thread for a month but was in fear of too many MJ threads...
Ok. MJ fans get ya typin ready...
What is a REAL MJ Essential Collection???

Beginning from the First Jackson 5 albums...to the Jacksons albums, to Michael Jacksons albums INCLUDING worthy rare, bootleg/unreleased tracks?

It will probably take me months to configure, but it will be worth it in the end. Showing Michaels best vocal and career span from Seventy whatever to 2004.

Whomever does this...

yeah, kinda feel the same way.I have so many things to ask, but am also waiting for less threads. But if I continue thinking this way, I might never get my answers, cause there´s always so many MJ threads over here. Ppl say they don´t like it, yet they´re the most visited and replyed to topics.
"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

THANK YOU lilgith. I didnt have the time to think of all the Jackson 5 songs at the moment, that's the problem I was having. I strangely only have the Jackson 5 first 3 albums and 3 Jacksons albums (im missing 2)

What is "The Man"?? Is that a good song?

Farewll my summer love is nothing to waste money on. the title track is ok, but it's one of the last things to get in your collection. Motown reworking of old tracks.

A song on Paul's Pipes of Peace album...it's good. Mike should have continued his apprenticeship with Paul. Paul and G. Martin taught mike new things, it was the condition of them working together...he could have mastered instruments and theory...and maybe Bad would have been an artistic achievement ala signs….but we know what happened.

I like all of side 1 on "farwell my summer love".

it is very, very dated sounding as they overdubbed the demos/outtakes with tacky early 80's drum machines etc.....but I love some of the cuts.

"don't let it get u down" is sooo optimistic that even the most cynical should smile at the enthusiasm in lil' Mikes voice.

the cover of "u really got a hold on me" is cool too, as is hidden gem "melodie" which has some beutiful verses and a catchy chorus.

One track on here was co written by George Clinton? It is the best trsck on here too.....the bouncy fluffy but deep (to me) "touch the one you love" is so simple but so lovely though.

Side 2 is filler really. "call on me" is actually pretty awful and very sub standard vocally 4 Michael.

I think u should get it, particually as it sold barely nothing in the USA.

"Touch the one u love"
If I had a penny for everytime
I didn't hold your hand
If I had a nickel for everytime
I didn't understand

I'd be the world poorest millionaire
'Cause you're not there
And no one ever told me
What you're willing do

If I had only reach out
I might still be touching you
You got to touch the one you love
If you want the one you love to touch you
(You've got, you've gotta to touch
You gotta touch the one who loves you)

Would get embarrased for every time
I've moved and make you cry
You get sentimental, and
I would never know the reason why

I hold the world sings
Making for my selfish pride
Is it really over
When I get close to you

I only want to show you
That i'm learning a thing or two
If you want the one you love
If you want the one you love to touch
You got to....

(Fade out)

This was my second Michael album after "dangerous" at the tiny age of about 6. I found it in a garage sale i think and reminds me of childhood. Side 1 is so fluffy and poppy.

hmmm. Well yeah Macca knew/knows a thing or two about instruments and theory, but he was far from inspired in the 80s and his continued influence on michael's music might not have been a positive thing
