it was entertaining if predictable. It was fun, good clips from the movie.....nice sets etc.....good dancing.

I have my "glory days" as Bruce Springseen would call it of me and my mates wanting to dance like Hammer.....do kids do this to Usher? I admit Usher is a great dancer and it is good 4 kids to copy him then that faker Justin.....

I think we must look for different things in videos. I'm more a fan of the way the video was shot, the art that the video references, the message behind the clip than flashy videos with crazy dancing.

Maybe if Hammer worked with Anton Corbijn or Mark Romanek on some videos, I'd think differently shrug .

it was all about the dancing.....but the videos were well directed by some english bloke (again).....Rupert Wainwright I think his name is, who is very much not the type of the hammer video director.

I C what u mean though....."too legit to quit" has loadsa fancy shots....."do not pass me by", one of Hammers less well known videos, is at first black and white,, then it changes to colour later on.....loadsa swooping crane shoots on mountains and shit, good vibe and all.....

Does Mc Hamer know about you man? your like the only one still pumping his shit. I use to get flogged in high school for liking him. When you don't really control the industry, they can promote any movement in rap they want Thus the end of Hammer.

He was labelled as the rap equivilent of James Brown and I can see that honesty.....laugh all u want but he got James' blessing. Hammer may not have the soul like Brown but basically, Hammer, like Brown did songs to DANCE to.....and I mean really dance too. It was all about the dancing, having fun and seing the awesome shows both these guys put on. James Brown woulda rocked if music videos were around back when he was at his peak.

People rag on non serious rap.....why? Whats wrong with dancing to rap music? Not all rap have to be thugged out BS all the time.....

lol Ok, then.

De La Soul sucks, Hammer's the best. And Marky Mark's Good Vibrations is better than the Beach Boys. hmmm

I'll say this: You definitely watched a LOT of MTV in the early 90's lol

Now go pick up a GH collection for Loleatta Holloway that features "Love Sensation" wink

I'm a early 90's freak.....I think I got issues somewhere? Why do I now like "shit" music? De la soul wrote good lyrics.....I may have to listen to them again but that whole Afrocentric rap scene ain't me.....but at least de la didn't come off looking all snobby and shit.....

lol Hammer's "shit" IMHO - I'm sure he has his merits for some listeners.

You have some of the more unique musical tastes on the org. thumbs up!

He had one good video - Can't Touch This. I used to like Hammer back in the day, but I much prefered his first album. It was less polished and a lot more fun. But even his one good video today looks a lot like a low-rent commercial for a soda.

Video got overplayed MAJORLY. He did Pepsi and KFC...Hammer "sold out".....with the cartoon show and all. He sold out with "the funky headhunter" but that was a good album where he flowed better then ever.

And now he's doing commercials for Lay's Potato Chips. It just debuted during the Superbowl (he was wearing the Hammer pants and everything). Sadder still - Spike Lee directed the spot!

There was a video he did early on called "They Put Me in the Mix". That was my Hammer favorite. My older relatives (all female) seemed to dig it, too - they just liked to see him dance.

Hammer is cool. He is easy to listen too, funny (if unintentionally), funky, can dance to his music easily, positive yet not heavy handed.....
