Izaiah's Birthday Ol Skoo Cut O Da Day

Since I woke up I didnt even realize it was until I went on prince.org this monin!.
The first song I played this morning was "Jealous Girl" by New Edition.

A very good song with lead vocals by Bobby Brown (I bet he begged for this song to sing himself). It also marks the first time I touched and played a 45 single myself picked. It had "Popcorn Love" A side and "Jealous Girl" as B side.

Tracks
1 Gimme Your Love 4:15 dancing jig
2 She Gives Me a Bang 4:00
3 Is This the End 4:11 touched
4 Pass the Beat 4:38
5 Popcorn Love 4:52 headbang
6 Candy Girl 3:54 headbang headbang
7 Ooh Baby 3:56
8 Should Never Have Told Me 4:06 dancing jig
9 Gotta Have Your Lovin' 4:50 woot!
10 Jealous Girl music
Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

First of all - Happy Birthday! sunsunsun

Secondly - I love all those songs. Goodness, were you even born yet? lol That's making me feel old. When I was 9-years-old, I remember listening to them both when they first came out. I recorded both Popcorn Love and Candy Girl from the radio onto my cassette recorder, and I'd listen to them outside on the carport. Anyone remember these?

Thank you Rip & Cinne C

I think I was a couple months old the time that album came out.

I got one of those tape recorders in 1989. I still have the casette with my first recrded voice on it. (in a HEAVY ass Brookyn accent, "This is The Simsons tape" my brother goes, "yep" it got Do The Bartman" and then I say, "and we got Deep Deep Trouble, and we got...." just naming all the songs. It is pretty funny.

I definately remember New Edition's first album. I have the 45 of "Jealous Girl" also with "Popcorn Love" on the B Side. I also have the 45 of "Is This The End" with the same song and version on both sides eek . And the 12 Inch version of "Candy Girl" is kicking.

Oh yes, I definately remember those. I used to have one before boom boxes came out. I remember making tapes by putting the microphone up next to the stereo speakers and turning the music up real loud. If anyone came in, I would go shhh because if they said anything, their voice would be recorded on the tape. I used to have a many a tape with my grandmother in the background hollering "Turn that shit down!".
