Sandra Bernhard Fans Rejoice!

get your pert little bottoms over to her official site:

www.sandrabernhard.com

she has copies for sale of all her out of print albums, along with some previously unreleased CDs and discs previously only sold at her shows!

they're a little pricey, but miss sandra is one smart cookie - her out of print CDs have been going for top dollar on eBay, so she's making some of that eBay money for herself, while at the same time saving her fans from having to spend a hundred bucks on her old albums. very clever!

now, i wonder who else has out of print CDs that go for ridiculous sums on eBay...hmmm (yeah, i know, there are red tape issues to consider...though not with a certain piano CD...)

ANYway...her site looks pretty new and there's not a whole lot on it yet, but it's a fun visit if you're bored, and if you're a fan and have the bucks, i'm betting the CDs won't be around for very long...

yeah, but keep in mind that on eBay, most of those CDs were going for at least two times what she's asking on her site. i agree that they're pricey, but i think it's a smart move on her part to redirect the money people are making from ebay into her own pocket, while giving fans just a little bit of a break on what they'd have to shell out for these CDs. plus, some of the stuff on there is exclusive - i had no idea there was an "excuses for bad behavior vol. 2"! i got a copy for me, and a copy for a friend of mine who's a sandy fan. i can't wait until i can afford to get some of the other stuff she's offering.

volume two? no! volume one i bought ages ago when it first came out, but i've never seen volume two anywhere, and i've certainly browsed through the bins for new sandra stuff at wrecka stows and such...it looks pretty recent.

It is a good idea and Julie Brown apparently did the same thing. She released on album ("Trapped In the Body Of White GIrl") and copies of it on Ebay sold for huge prices....so she decided to sell the album, long out of print, on her site. HOwever, I tried to order it from there and couldn't....maybe it was for a limited time. I guess there is an audience for those CDs and those prices but it's too much for a causal fan like me.
