I wish they would get released here already. I've got only the greatest hits on CD, and two others on cassette. I've been holding out, because I figured good versions would make it to CD, eventually.

same here, I used to own all their albums, except for Savage, of which I
owned a tape copy.

back in 1998 I sold them all sad and I've been holding out on buyin them
again since talk of these remasters with extra tracks had been going on
for a good two years now.

I want them already. damn it mad
where the sun dont ever shine i will shiver the whole night through smile

i don't think they were released. they are listed as "currently unavailable" if I am reading it correct.

these same listings (complete w/ track listings, etc). were on the amazon.com/uk site at one point, may still be on there.

No you don't. The Yourivmicks are shit. Get into The Ramones instead. Start with "Howling At The Moon", which mad bad Dave Stewart started producing before he drank some rubbing alcohol and ran out of the studio. True!

There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

Esprit only lists items that they actually received. It was released in Japan, they imported it, but someone purchased it, and it is now "currently unavailable".

hmmm... i don't think so.

www.idealcopy.com is a site that specializes in new wave re-issues, and they get Japanese imports all the time. On their message board, i asked about the Eurythmics re-issues, and their staff replied as follows:

"good question. send an email to BMG and then let us know.

a lot of people are pretty frustrated about this situation (including us) "

BTW - if anyone is a fan of new wave, check out ideal copy. great site, very nice and personable customer service.

lol Just telling you that I know how Esprit works. They don't list something unless they actually had it in stock at one time.

P.S. They're actually listing it as a "latest arrival", which means they've obtained a new copy. First crack goes to whomever reserved a copy using that red button. If they choose not to purchase it, then the item will be relisted as "available".

But shouldn't there have been at least some mention of this on at least one Eurythmics fansite? I think they probably jumped the gun.

This site actually has them for sale (scroll down). Just do a search of Google for the catalogue number and you'll see they're expensive but easy to find.

Weird. neutral

I read an interview with Dave Stewart explaining the delay. He said that he wasn't happy with what was included as bonus material and wanted to use everything. Maybe the rest of the world will either see different tracklists, or that rumored box set will indeed gather the rest.

Yeah, me too. There are too many crucial things missing from these.

Try actually ordering one from this site, and see what happens smile

They've never been released. There is a large contingent of Eurythmics fans waiting for these re-issues. If they were released in Japan, it would have been on the Eurythmics sites, and there would be copies for sale on eBay. There is not a peep about them on eBay.

Ice Magazine said they were delayed due to a "shakeup" at BMG.

But as ya'll have said, i'm willing to wait for better re-issues. I wasn't happy with these tracklistings..... too many ommissions.

i emailed the Ideal Copy site to get clarification, and this is what they told me:

no, these still haven't been released anywhere. they were going to come out last year so that's why all these companies have them in their system (we do too, they are just not active). promo cds even came out of the reissues. but then the release date was bumped indefinitely. i suspect they will come out this year sometime, but no announcement.
