New Martin Luther disc Is anyone feeling the new Martin Luther disc? I've only listen through once, but I'm kinda diggin' on it. There's lots of hard guitar, and it sounds like Prince is an influence, but in just the right amount.

I posted about Martin Luther months ago. Heads around here ain't ready yet. They're still waiting for Pince to go back to his old ways, then "He'll show 'em all" I think ML is talented and the record is a must have if you're looking for something new. Once he gains a little more press, you'll see hate posts calling him a Prince clone like they do to every brotha who picks up a guitar and plays anything other than blues & jazz, but I digress. For those interested, his website is: http://www.rebelsoulmusic.com/main.html

I love Martin Luther.
I'm not black, but I always like to see a black guy pick up a guitar and jam to it, instead of sticking with the stereotypical "You're black; you must be a rapper or into R&B". You're right. Prince does sound like an influence, but it's not over the top. He is really cool, refreshing music. We need more of that nowadays. The licks are awesome, his voice is solid, and the lyrics have a message. It's just right.

Serveitupfrankie* There's a VIDEO!!!??? I'm pissed I couldn't see his last show in SF cuz I was out of town. The Calling is great.. great lyrics, more r&b. RebelSoulMusic is more rock.. it's grown on me. Daily Bread is amazing! Martin Luther is the real deal. I've seen him perform over the past 5 years or so here in San Francisco.. voice like Donnie Hathaway and gorgeous too.. check him out!

It is a good disc for me to have at the time, because it helps me remember there are those out there who still want to stir the pot and shake up the system.
