Nick Gilder/Hot Child In The City

Who's hip to this cat? Or this song? Another childhood fave of mine. When I was little, I used to play the hell out of this song. So, I went out and got the album. And on it, I found even a better song,"Here Comes The Night". Not to be confused by Patti Smith's "Because The Night", "Here Comes The Night" is pure powerpop late 70's style. For those of u who digs Prince's vocals 1999 era, will love "Here Comes The Night". Released in 78, the album "City Lights" was a big hit. The year before, in 77, Nick Gilder sung the song "Roxy Roller" which I had the 45 single. On that album "You Know Who You Are" has great cuts "Rated X" and "Tantalize". Who digs Nick Gilder?
SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
nammie "What BGZ says I believe. I have the biggest crush on him."

I only know Hot Child in the City, but I do like it a lot. And if the rest of that album is power pop as you say, I'm gonna have to give it a try. Pop rock from that era is great.

Hell yeah, Rip. The Cars, Cheap Trick, etc. Nick was already ahead of that camp.
