The B-52s Love 'em or Hate 'em- Who LOVES them?
What are your favorite tracks? I fucking love the B52s! They created the best party rock to come out of the 80s. They're proof positive that you don't need a redundant, generic house or disco beat to dance. Planet Claire, 52 Girls and Rock Lobster are my favorites of theirs. I don't think their music was quite as good after the passing of Ricky Wilson  , but they were still a lot of fun.[Edited 2/23/05 12:41pm] | |

Rock Lobster was a song I dug when I was a kid BIGTIME! So, from that, I got into to them. Have a few of their albums. Yeah, I like em'. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

I love 'em too; one of my earliest musical memories is of my aunt playing 'Wild Planet' and 'The B-52's' to me (we called 'em Yellow and Red  ). She also used to let me borrow a video she taped from MTV with all of their clips on it; I used to love the videos for 'Legal Tendar' and 'Song for a Future Generation'.

Party Out of Bounds Dirty Back Roads Give Me Back My Man Private Idaho (especially the version on Party Mix) Throw That Beat in the Garbage Can Pretty much the entire Whammy! album because it was one of my first tapes, but especially: Legal Tendar Whammy Kiss Song For a Future Generation Trism Summer of Love Ain't It A Shame Girl From Ipanema Goes to Greenland The ENTIRE Cosmic Thing album, especially cause it was my first CD. I freakin' LOVE The B-52's! 'Cosmic Thing' was the first album I ever bought. I spent most of that Summer delving into their back-catalogue  I wish they'd hurry up and release a new album...

I always thought it was strange, because I know that John Lennon called the B-52's his favorite band, and I think Yoko shared the same opinion. Last I heard they were trying to have a new album out by Summer 2005. I hope it's true!
Their last studio album "Good Stuff" was released in 1992(without Cindy Wilson). A Hits collection came out in 1998. | |

I LOVE THEM!!!  I saw them many years ago here in Sydney and they were out here last year but I missed them I was not a happy camper lol...
one of my favourite B52 songs of all time would be Junebug from the fantastic, awesome and brilliant album "Cosmic Thing" I wanna go and listen to it now lol | |
