So, what other on-the-cheap album covers do you know? The type that evokes memories of grade 2 cut and paste funtime.

The worst is when huge stars try to cheap out on record covers... Here are some truly awful ones, IMO:

God knows what she was thinking here. Not only did she reuse the picture from the Gap ad, but they added those stupid aliens in!

I thought this was a horrible cheap looking cover for Maxwell's "Now" cd.
Especially after the wonderfull pictures used on and inside the cover of
his "Embrya" album. Those were just licky licky. This cover looks like a
bootleg if I ever saw one.




This one is even worse But it does kind of reflect the music on the
second album. Dusty and bleak with very few point of light. Her little son
could have done a lot better with some pictures and glue I'm sure.

It's the worst album cover I own, I think. She looks horrible in that pic
all drugged up and zoned out. Yuckie.



Another album that looks like a cheap ass bootleg. Also another bad cover
reflecting the poor content of the album. Seems like artists just don't
even care enough about these bad albums to make a decent cover.




Luckily the music contained on this double album is absolutely ace. The
songs are remastered exquisitely but the package looks dreadful. After
all their great and witty covers this is a big let down. I'm sure they
could have come up with something better than this! this is something we
all could do in under 10 minutes. Yuck.

As much as I love Bjork and swoon over the artwork of all her other albums
this one is just bad in a bad bad way. It's only the remix album but still
make it decent woman lol. Another big big flaw of this package is a thing
that I hate in all albums that do this: no tracklist on the back or any
other place, not even in the booklet. Only on the actual disc, the tracks
are printed. Grrrr.

How can I look up the tracks when the disc is in the player?

Another reason I don't like this cover is because it feels like it tries
to be more like this one (which came out later, by Tricky)





and thát my friends, is a kick ass album cover if I've ever seen one
