Jill Scott The Big Beautiful tour!!!!!!

Just got in from her show tonight here in San Diego, the lady brought the house down!!!!! stellar performance, performed cuts from Who is Jill Scott? and her latest Beautifully Human...her band even did a brief rendition of Prince's "Call My Name" during an interlude...I just loved her crowd interaction, she is a very gracious woman.

Didn't it seem like she was expecting a bigger reception when she first came out lol She kept insisting for us to cheer & shit off the bat hmm I was juiced, but the crowd seemed a little mellow. I loved the whole show though & was GLAD I knew there was gonna be an encore thumbs up!

nod i was the only one to stand when she walked out.....come on oakland!!! usually oakland crowds are cra-zee. maybe people were more into a lovely dovey mood cause valentines day was around the corner..who knows..but i think this is the first time a crowd has ruined a show for me..if i was able to be up and dancing i would have enjoyed it a bit more....

but aint no excusing her updated/disco version of "golden". ill

Did she have the same band, Fatback Taffy? Can anyone compare it to her last tour without giving away any highlights? I'm going to see her in a few weeks and am curious.
Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

she did the latin thing that was nice...mixed in some english/spanglish when she performed "Whatever"

I think our crowd was nice...I did hear a brotha in front of me complain how black people in San Diego are Bougie...but we held it down in SD alot of crowd interraction and participation.

That dude Martin Luther. He was pretty good, the first song was NICE. It got weaker as the set went on but his band is tight & his co-lead singer is great. Pretty cool, I'd never heard him before smile

I love Martin Luther. His album is alright though, from what I heard of it.
