Updated tracklisting for Earth, Wind and Fire "Illumination"

Check this out everyone....

DISC 1
1. Love Together
2. The One
3. Lovely People (feat. Wil I Am of Black Eyed Peas)
4. Pure Gold
5. Love's Dance
6. Show Me The Way (feat. Raphael Saadiq)
7. This is How I Feel (feat. Kelly Rowland of Destiny's Child & Sleepy Brown)
8. Work It Out
9. Pass You By
10.Elevated (feat. Floetry)
11.To You (feat. Brian McKnight)
12.Autumn (feat. Musiq Souldchild)
13.Kenny G - The Way You Move feat. Philip Bailey & Maurice White (Bonus Track)

AND....I have also heard that there is a possibility of another track to be added...one that is scheduled to include Big Boi from Outkast fame. No guarantees, but it definitely ups the ante a little for this album.

Check out the Official EWF site http://www.elementsvipclub.com for all the latest news as it made available by EWF Management.

Thanks for the news! Looks like only one track has been removed ("Let Me Love You" featuring Floetry),but they added three more tracks,so it's cool. Can't wait to pick this up! Is there an official release date yet? I keep hearing that it will be out in either March or April.

Hmmm,I know of only two additional songs---"Happiness" and the would-be-title track---that were left off the album.I wonder if one of these tracks is the one with Big Boi? confuse

well I guess this will be the first EW&F album that he boycotts? lol

Seriously,Pat takes things a little too seriously.Kenny G. is harmless. If Pat doesn't like his music, that's fine. But let's not act as if Kenny is responsible for the collapse of western civilization, lol. There is a market for the "smooth jazz" that Kenny specializes in,and there is a market for the "real jazz" that Pat does.No need for Pat to act as it's a war between the two.

lol

I remember when Pat made his statements about Kenny G on his website....patmethenygroup.com back in 2000.I felt that he was in the right for calling out Kenny. Kenny's "plazz"(which is what I call it) often time gets labeled as true jazz but this is only for the newbies to jazz. Don't believe me, take the Kenny G jazz test with people you know who have his records. If you see them saying how much they like his music or are bumpin some of his stuff. If you happen to go to their crib and look at their collection, I bet you (as it relates to jazz) they only have Kenny G's music or other smooth jazz artists like Boney James and Najee..stuff like that. People that really knows their jazz knows that Kenny G is a big joke. But I will say this, some of his pre Duotones stuff was ok. But after that "Songbird" track blew up on the pop chart in 1987....well you know the story.

Pat, as one of the true leaders of the contemporary jazz scene, simply called Kenny to make a more valid contribution to the genre that is jazz. Now Metheny..you don't want to get me started on the Pat Metheny Group. Their amazing track record speaks for itself. I would say inarguably they're the most consistent and solid jazz band artistically speaking, since Weather Report disbanded.

Also what is interesting to me is while jazz fans are focusing on Kenny G...veterans like George Benson has been coasting on cruise control for almost 25 years and he is one of the greatest guitarists(forget jazz guitarists} living.

in all fairness though,I don't think Kenny really considers himself a true "jazz" artist anyway.I'm sure he accepts the fact that he is really playing "smooth jazz".I mean, his latest CD contains a remake of Outkast's "The Way You Move"! He's more into instrumental pop and R&B than real jazz, and there's nothing wrong with that.

I think Pat was just saying that, while before he used to just shrug at Kenny G, (and he knows that lots of people like that type of playing), he didn't really take offense until KG did that record "with" Louis Armstrong...

While I can do without the "f/Brian McKnight" and "f/Floetry" and "f/Will.I.Am," on the whole I'm looking forward to the release.
