Your favorite pirate/bootleg/internet/white label mixes and mash-ups?

I really feel like these are becoming an artform in their own right. I've heard so many good ones that I couldn't possibly name them all. Who says you have to be a known name and make major coin to produce a good remix these days? List and discuss some of your favorites here.

I just found an excellent mash-up of Bjork's "Hidden Place" and The Cure's "A Forest". Perfectly executed. Check it out.

Listening to it now....

I loved the mash-up between Franz Ferdinand's Take Me Out and Kelis's Milkshake.

I will not save this mash up... It is funny, but the two do not FIT perfectly...

Where as the Kelis/FF mash up ROCKS! Do you know that one? It was a free download on the ff.org site.

You don't think? I was really impressed actually.

Never heard the FF one.

One really fucked up juxtaposition is the Missy vs. Joy Division "Love Will Freak Us". I can't tell whether I should be sad or dancing. lol

True. But can I be sad and dancing at the same time?

mmmm.
Trick question. Maybe the dancing helps relieving the sadness...
Dance it all away!

I know I can forget the world when dancing...

Now the ballroom´s empty
Everybody I have known
Has been and gone
With the music over
Here am I
A shadow echoing on
Spin me round...
Now there must be something
In what they say of all things
Great and small
There´s dozen roses
Lying almost dying
To say all
Spin me round...
A nether world dancing toy
I´m wired for sound
Does it matter to me
Who turns the key?
Now if life is for living
Then the way is clear
But I don´t understand
Why the dream has ended
Yet I can´t wake up
Lend a hand -
Spin a round...

Now that is Roxy Music, the one that was playing while you posted the dance remark...

Spin Me Round from Manifesto. It's not my favourite, but the lyrics just fit the moment, didn't it?

Don't know Manifesto well. I have it, but have only listened to the tracks from it on the box set a few times. I definitely prefer their glory years from '72-'75.

Come to think of it, Bjork has countless amazing fan mixes out there.

The Bjork remix web used to be the best source of them, but it seems they're only storing the newest ones now.

That one is not so exciting because it's legit.

Girls On Top - "We Don’t Give A Damn About Our Friends" (Freak Like Me/Are Friends Electric). That's one of my favorite songs of all time. Again, the legal version featuring the Sugababes in place of Adina Howard is not so hot.

Freelance Hellraiser's "A Stroke Of Genius" (Genie In A Bottle/Hard To Explain) is another good one.

That was actually pretty good.

I think however, the best mash-ups are the ones that are almost sacrilegious--where two artists that are totally different musically are combined seamlessly into one pop song. You're kind of preaching to the choir with a Björk/Cure mash-up. Having said that, I still liked "Hidden Forest" enough to save it. I'll be playing it a lot the next few days.
