Earth, Wind, And Fire. I'm listening to a live album they released around '95 or so. Damn these brothers can play! It's cool to listen to the crowd go wild when they hear a familiar tune come up. If you're a new EW&F fan who is just now getting into their music,I would recommend you start with these three CDs... 'That's the Way Of The World'(1975) 'All N All' (1977) 'I Am' (1979) These three albums capture EW&F at their absolute best,and all three CDs have been remastered with bonus tracks.I'm sure you will then want to dig deeper and find the rest of the albums. | |

If you like listening to EW&F in concert,they have several other "Live" CDs you may wanna pick up... 'Gratitude'(1975) 'Alive In 1975:That's The Way Of The World'(2002)---basically,it's just more live recordings from their 1975 tour.Consider it 'Gratitude Part 2',lol. 'Live In Rio'(2002)---these recordings are from their 1979 'I Am' tour. and there are several Live DVDs,including the recently released "Live At Montreux",which is taken from a 1997 performance. | |

I love both of those - especially Last Days and Time (it's also one of my fave album covers). But I think for somebody who's just getting into EWF, it's best to work backwards through their catalogue. That's just me though. Either way, if their head is screwed on tight, they'll dig those, too. | |
