Not true. The last hip hop record I liked was Quad City DJs "Come On Ride The Train". But there were very few in the 1990s that I liked. I liked lots of it in the late 1980s...Egyptian Lover, Freestyle, 2 Live Crew, etc. lol

You have gotta be kidding me!!! That does not even constitute as hip-hop!!!

Well I'm glad to hear it doesn't. Now I don't have to be ashamed of liking the song because what is considered 1990s hip hop is a disgrace.

i do know the worst ever has to go to SNOOP,,, and as for DMX please do not take your self seriously Mr D ,we dont and never will..

i thought BUSTA was generally convincing in NARC but then he was playing a gangsta hoodlum drug dealer.. so it wasnt that hard to play those roles with depth really..

Tupac was an awesome actor, IMO. He was incredible in everything he was in, including "Poetic Justice", which even Janet's horrible acting couldn't save.

Did anyone see Mos Def in "Something the Lord Made"? It's a HBO movie. INCREDIBLE performance by Mos. He'll make you sob uncontrollably.

When Rappers play off character they are very good!

Tupac in Poetic Justice was great!!!

LL Cool J in Halloween H20 was great!!!

Busta Rymes in Halloween 8 was aweful! he ruined that series and movie more then Jar Jar Binks in Star Wars 1

Ice Cube sucks in everything because he thinks he has to put on that "black-ccent" in every role! TALK NORMAL!! WE know you were from the burbs and your parents were teachers.

lol

he was good, not great.

He didn't have enough movies under his belt to be considered great.

It's not about quantity of product, but quality of performance.

Thats true.

Iam surprised not more people have seen "juice". Still a great movie and a hell of alot better then "poetic justice".

I swear to God u see Tupac turn around to look at Janet and the 2 dancers waking up at the very beginning of "alright" music video.

Yes I DID see MosDef in "Something the Lord Made" and he deserved an award for that performance! He's a wonderful actor. I can't recall anything he's been in when he didn't do a great job. I don't even think of him in the same category as the rest of the "rappers-turned-"actors" even the ones that I like.

You wanna know why? Because he was an actor before he became a rapper lol Yep, he used to do stage plays I believe.

Mos Def was fun in Lackawanna Blues. Not bad with the singing in that movie, either.

I didn't until you mentioned it! Goodness, that was a while ago, SquarePeg! Yes, it's clear that he didn't just come off the mic and walk into the movies, isn't it? Some background there.

I never could stand Tupac.

I like Queen Latifah as an actress on "Living Single" and "Set It Off".

I enjoyed Will Smith in "The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air" when he wasn't acting too damned silly. The oldest daughter was my favorite.

I loved Ice T in some of his movies. I really like the one, I think it was called "Trespass", where he played a gangster that had these two guys trapped in an abandoned building. Ice T was wearing those damned fashions in that movie. He was too clean. I also like the movie where he was being hunted like a wild animal.

That other movie Ice-T was in is called SURVIVING THE GAME Vaniandy.

I've only seen Mos Def in "The Woodsman" and he impressed me, he's the only rapper that I've seen that can really act, save for maybe LL Cool J (but I don't qualify him as a rapper, unlike most people here probably do...)
Tupac was a shit actor and his acting (if you can call it that) in "Juice" was straight up amateurish and non-believable...

my goodness where is my head at? Mos Def was most definitely great in HBO's "Something the Lord Made". He should have gotten some type of award for that role, he was very good.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
