Tupac was a great actor. You agree? Any good rapper actors

I've known this for years now, but his performance in "juice" is quite amazing.

Still a great film, with a wicked soundtrack.

Also he made "poetic justice" watchable (Janet was kinda plastic in that film) and the film itself was average but he made it quite good.

He was barely in the underated, very gritty "bullet" with Mickey rourke. I think that james belushi cop movie was the lst thing he did?

On a related note, I only just saw "assault on precinct 13" (i know it's been out for a while now) and Ja rule is breifly in it.....bloody hell. No talent tupac wannabe.....

LL cool J was actually quite good in the flop "toys" with robin williams.

Actually, although Poetic Justice wasn't a great movie, I think Janet's performance made it great. I don't think she was "plastic" at all.

that was a naff reference to her breasts. I guess maybe the script wasn't too hot so Janet's character seemed kinda dull to me personally. I think when ur opposite tupac, u get squashed as that cat has charisma on stage, on screen and of course on the mic.

I heard Tupac got friendly with janet on the set, then Janet blanked him after the shooting of the movie was over.....kinda mean if she did?

I know he is so hyped, but only few know that Tupac had real talnet on movies too. Way above average pop star acting.

Justice was supposed to be kinda a cold person because of what she went through in life. She was depressed until she started to open up and fall in love with Lucky. That was the whole plot of the movie.

As for Janet and Tupac ever messing around, she was married to Rene Elizondo at the time.

Mos Def is great, Heavy D, Queen Latifah (should stop trying to sing jazz and return to acting, her and abbey lincoln).

Cube and Mos have longevity. Queen La is good too, but she tends to play herself (not that many of the greats don't, but still).

No I meant on friendly terms. Tupac thought he made a friend and after movie Janet just ignored him.

Cube is makig family films now. Thats a looooong way from NWA. Snoop dog was alright in "baby boy".

Marky mark however? Quite a turnaround huh?

Janet found out what he was into, and didn't want to be involved with that, from what I've read. They were never close friends, though.

yeah, thats proberly right.

Anyone seen Tupac movies? He was meant to be in "Menace to society", which would of been another good movie to his name.

I forgot Tupac's "gridlock'd". His most easy going film as it is a buddy comedy. Good fun movie.

Eminem in 8 mile? Just average. I hope he doesn't get ideas in his head to be in loadsa movies.

I never could stand Tupac.

I like Queen Latifah as an actress on "Living Single" and "Set It Off".

I enjoyed Will Smith in "The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air" when he wasn't acting too damned silly. The oldest daughter was my favorite.

I loved Ice T in some of his movies. I really like the one, I think it was called "Trespass", where he played a gangster that had these two guys trapped in an abandoned building. Ice T was wearing those damned fashions in that movie. He was too clean. I also like the movie where he was being hunted like a wild animal.

Can you believe that Ice T is 47 years old?

Agreed on both counts. Karyn Parsons made me want to get a job.

My fave Ice T movie is STILL New Jack City!

Not true. The last hip hop record I liked was Quad City DJs "Come On Ride The Train". But there were very few in the 1990s that I liked. I liked lots of it in the late 1980s...Egyptian Lover, Freestyle, 2 Live Crew, etc. lol

Pac & Mos are/were the best of the rappers - Pac had MAD potential, Mos is trained & the only one I'd qualify as "great"...

Cube, Ice T, Eve & Marky Mark are okay sometimes...

I've never believed one word out of LL's mouth, but I understand his visual appeal...

Will Smith has/had potential but never really developed it. He makes too much $ now to care...

Latifah is pretty decent, but she's the same person in each & every role it seems...

Eminem was alright in 8 Mile, I guess...

I've never actually watched anything w/ Ja Rule or that dude w/ the dogs (what's his name again?)...

Master P should just STOP... IMMEDIATELY...

Who else is there? confused
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

Mos Def is a great actor. I've seen many of his films and he's usually quite good in them. Ice-Cube is ok and "the Queen" is ok too. Will Smith could be good, but he choose to make shit movies. He's in it for the $$$ only. IMO - the only good movies he's ever made are "six degrees of separation" and "Ali". Tupac was great in that movie he made with Tim Roth (can't think of the name right now).

I don't like Eve's acting or Ashanti's ill

Tim Roth and Tupac were in "gridlock'd".

Bobby Brown was good in "panther" (not a rapper I know) and OK in "a thin line between love and hate" with Martin Lawrence.

U guys have gotta see "juice". Tupac deserved an oscar nomination no doubt.

Ice T is not bad actually. I love "new jack city" too. Remember that crappy tv series he did as a undercover detective or something? Wasn't bad, just very cheesy.

Puff Daddy was in "monsters ball" I think? It's been a while since I've seen that movie.....

Janet is awful in everything. The only thing I could stand her in was Nutty Prof 2, & that was barely watchable but at least she didn't totally suck in it...

I still own my USA copy of "cool as ice". Even th soundtrack CD.But I only like 2 of his songs off the soundtrack and thats it! I cannot stand "ice ice baby".

How could I forget "cool as ice"?

That "ninja rap" song was awful even by my standards (though the turtles soundtracks are pretty good)
