Lots of disco by white artists was also played on black radio:

Makin' It - David Naughton
Instant Replay - Dan Hartman
Vertigo/Relight My Fire - Dan Hartman
You Make Me Feel Like Dancing - Leo Sayer
I Love The Nightlife (Disco Round) - Alicia Bridges
Theme From The Midnight Express - Georgio Moroder
Anything from The Bee Gees.
The Village People was a racially mixed group.
Foxy...I don't know their racial make up though.

Down here, they used to play Foreigner's "I Wanna Know What Love Is" and they also used to play the version with the black choir only.

One of the black stations played both Foreigner's version and the black choir's version. The other two black stations played only the black choir's version.

Gosh Tears for Fears is one of my "white music" among my black RB collection.
and yes, that was the jam
One of my favorite groups that crossed over black was the Ramones, Secrets that you keep, and Yes Owner of the lonely heart.
I used to hear Yes mixed with RB all the time.

That's back before "ghetto" was put on a pedastol. She might get a "black" pass though. biggrin Teena Marie will always be the queen though and deserves it. biggrin
