Frank McComb: Straight From The Vault If any of you are Frank McComb
fans, He's got a new disc out, (through Dusty Groove and other outlets) called "Straight From The Vault" It's more of that sound- eerily Donny Hathaway-like vocals and George Duke/Stevie Wonder-like keyboards, Funk/Fusion instrumentals, and soulful ballads.... A former member of Branford Marsalis's group "Buckshot Lefonque" McComb also added his vocals and keyboards to albums by New Sector Movements and Marilyn Scott-- his last album, "The Truth" was produced by Steve 'Scotsman' Harvey, the keyboardist/producer for singer Donnie's album "The Colored Section", and the Brigette McWilliams(daughter of Paulette) album, "Too Much Woman"... Frank's first album, Love Stories was produced by Branford Marsalis..... ... This guy is really talented -- I first heard about him via Gilles Peterson's Radio 1 broadcasts. Great tone on the Rhodes.
I'm familiar with New Sector Movements; I didn't know Frank was affiliated with them. I may have to dig a bit deeper into their music.

Yeah, I love that feel, too! I'm familiar with New Sector Movements; I didn't know Frank was affiliated with them. I may have to dig a bit deeper into their music.
He was on the 'Download This' album... " I've got six things on my mind --you're no longer one of them." - Paddy McAloon, Prefab Sprout
