And I have started to hate Coldplay, just because they are so overrated. Let's face it - they are bland. There are a dozen similar bands that are just as good, if not better, that don't get the same attention as Coldplay. Why??? They have one great song: The Scientist. They have a number of other fairly decent tracks. Why are they on such a pedestal? I'll never know.

I am using Timeless as a reference to thier music.. Meaning, What they are trying to do is make music that will stand up with some of the great albums of our time.. and not splicing the electronic shit with it.. just the guitar, bass, piano driven music..

And do i think it is? Yes.. I do.. simply because they've been pretty damn good with their last two albums, and they arent gonna make another album if it isnt better than the previous.. thus, I got faith in their next album. cause its coming out..

I respect the music of the 70's & 80's more than anything (especially funk & electronic music). First half of the 90's were OK. But the second half of the 90's & almost all of 00's were/are a freaking embrassment!!!

Yo vainandy, i agree on lack of real uptempos (u know I like cheesy uptempos but also Newjack WHICH WAS FUNKY- though maybe not to ur taste ) but R Kelly's first album had some great uptempo's.



u gotta remember "she's got that vibe"? Plus some album tracks off same album were funky too. He wrote some average uptempo's for boyband hi-five too.

I know I'm treading on Holy Ground when I say that I strongly dislike:

Jimi Hendrix.

I know all the vibe about his legendary guitar playing, how he was a revolutionary artist that would inspire so many young musicians for decades after,etc..., but I just don't like his music. There's just something untasteful and unappealing about it. Purple Haze(which was his only hit in his short-lived career) is as boring as watching the Golf Channel at 3 am in the morning, and as far as his other music, I regret the money I wasted on several of his cds and "the Jimi Hendrix Experience" that I bought a while back. Utterly and completely boring.

Ok, I'll wait to get destroyed by everyone here.
