Acts or artists you have an irrational hatred/dislike for

Let's vent! mad

1. Phil Collins.

I don't know why but i hate this man with a passion. Bald, small and ugly. Probably owner of a spotty arse too. Creator of a huge amount of crap pertaining to be music. Piss off collins your'e shite. F*****g tax dodger living it up in Switzerland with a woman less than half your age who married you only for your money. Tory wanker.

There isn't anything this man can do to change my opinion of him. Everytime i hear any of his music, i'm offended by it's hideousness.barf

Your turn! lol

Pick an act (or waste your time defending Prince Charles' mate if you like) wink

As a fellow MJ fan, don't make me lose respect for you with such dumb statements, your just opening yourself and other MJ Fans up to irrational attacks. Phil Collins is a great drummer. Genesis is a great prog rock band that he kept breathing once peter left. Recognize.

It's just for fun. relax.

Besides, Genesis were better with Peter Gabriel and Collins is a highly overrated drummer. Prince could and would kick his ass with the sticks!

I like Queen to an extent, and I was a fan of early U2 way back when I was about 12 and 13. I love the early Chilli Peppers, but I don't listen to any of their recent stuff.

Never got into Coldplay at all, oooh and don't get me started on Destiny's Child! eek shake As for Robbie Williams and Sting? bored

Oh, and I've never even heard Franz Ferdinand yet, so I can't say.

Phill Collin's drums mostly are recorded far too loud in comparison to the rest
and there are far too many "fills" , his drumming sucks , however i like
some of his songs , tho' most of them suck indeed

nod Total Radiohead rip off. I even had the misfortune of seeing them live at a music festival (Witnness) a few years back. It was absolute torture.

Man you're so lucky. In Britain and Ireland they're everywhere. Perhaps it's just my twisted imagination, but I'm almost certain they make the cover of NME every week. Hopefully you've managed to escape The Darkness as well.

A couple of my mates insisted, so I thought what the hell I'll try and be open minded.
Still a great festival..got to see Sonic Youth, No Doubt (Gwen Stefani right up close nutty) and Frank Black amongst others so it wasn't all bad.

I apologize in advance for offending anybody...lol...but here's my list...

Lenny Kravitz---man,I just can't stand this guy.No originality whatsoever.Everything he does sounds like something I already heard....decades ago! That's bad enough, but what really pisses me off are his interviews. His music is shamelessly derivative and bland, but yet he acts as if he's just a "misunderstood genuis" who is on the level of Prince.

Britney Spears---"I'm not that innocent",she once sang. How about changing the lyric to "I'm not that talented"?

Eminem---Maybe it's because I've seen alot in my life, but I really don't find him shocking or controverial at all."Annoying" is a better description lol

Celine Dion---her music is adult contemporary MOR crap, the kind of stuff you play when you want to torture somebody...lol...seriously,I'd have more respect for her if she recorded a profanity-laced,gangsta rap album produced by Lil Jon.It would be much more exciting than the snoozefest crap she does now!

Usher---yeah I know,Michael Jackson has his share of problems and scandals. But to be honest, even with all his baggage,I would still rather see, hear and listen to him instead of a lame, wannabee imitator like Usher."Yeah" is the most annoying song of the past year and that's quite a feat, considering how much crap is out there these days.

U2 is my least favorite.
I don't understand why people consider their music great and i don't understand the fascination with Bono. rolleyes

My friend who is obsessed with U2 lent my 2 of their greatest hits albums and i could not dig any of it.
But that's ok, he doesn't get my madonna obsession and hates her to death....

All in good spirit though, i don't "hate" U2 i strongly dislike them with utter passion

Elton John.

Instead of criticizing performers (he isn't one) perhaps he actually ought to learn to lip-synch. Seeing as how his voice went years ago anyway. Or better yet, retire.

There are many who I feel are talented but overrated (MJ, Madonna, Fleetwood Mac) and many more who literally have nothing to contribute (most of the Nashville country artists, most rap acts and most of the contemporary pop acts).

But, then there are those who give me a visceral fingernails-on-the-blackboard, chewing-aluminum-foil cringe, and a wanna-throw-up repulsion. For starters:

Kiss

Black Sabbath

Peter Frampton

Steely Dan

Billy Joel

I know he's a fine lyricist, but whenever I hear Morrissey's voice I just really want to start setting things on fire. I cannot stand hearing that man sing. His voice makes me a little angry.

Destiny's Child---Beyonce as a solo act is tolerable, but imo,Destiny's Child is over.Their latest single "Soldier" is R&B garbage, with appalling lyrics ("known to carry big things if you know what I mean") and a stupid message.Admittedly, they were fun and charming back in their "Bills,Bills,Bills" days, but now,the thrill is gone.Get back to those solo careers, girls.

Guns N Roses---yeah,I know they're pretty much extinct these days, lol, but I just had to point out that Axl Rose is easily the worst rock singer that ever lived. That voice was atrocious.Thank goodness that they're having multiple problems as they try to launch a comeback.

Ludacris---there are many thugged-out rappers that I could have put on this list (50 Cent comes to mind),but nobody annoys me more than Ludacris. He represents everything I hate about today's hip hop.
