1. The first Stevie Wonder album you purchased or were given, and what year was that?

"Hotter Than July" back in 1980.

2. The first video you remember seeing; and which is your favourite to date?

The first music video I ever saw was "Do I Do". I had seen him several times on "Soul Train" though. My favorite music video to date, of the few that I have seen, would be "Superstitious" (actually it is an old television performance that VH1 calls a video).

3. Have you ever seen him in concert; which tours and how many times?

No

4. Favourite album?

I only have two of his albums, "Hotter Than July" and "Original Musiquarium". The rest are 45s. Going on strictly what I have, I would have to say "Hotter Than July".

5. Least favourite album?

Anything after "Original Musiquarium".

6. You favourite Stevie song?

"Did I Hear You Say You Love Me"

7. A Stevie song you can't stand at all?

"Part Time Lover"

8. Favorite duet or collaboration?

"Ebony And Ivory" with Paul McCartney

9. Who would you like to see him do a duet with?

Nobody. Duets have been played out for years.

10. Favourite Stevie Wonder period: 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's or 00's?

Definately the 1970s.

11. What artist/s do you see a major Stevie influence in?

Prince

12. Favourite television moment?

"Soul Train" in the old days.

13. Favourite B-Side or non-album track?

The 45s I have don't have non-album tracks.

14. First single you purchased or were given?

"Master Blaster (Jammin')"

15. Last single you purchased or were given?

"I Just Called To Say I Love You"

16. Do you own all regular Stevie Wonder studio album releases? If 'no', what was the last album you purchased?

I only have two..."Hotter Than July" and "Original Musiquarium". "Original Musiquarium" was the last one I purchased.

17. Will you be buying the next one?

Probably not. The only way I will buy it is if I hear something on the radio that I like and I haven't liked any of his music since "I Just Called To Say I Love You".

18. Is he your favourite artist overall, or favourite male? If 'no', who is otherwise?[/quote]

No, Prince is.

1. The first Stevie Wonder album you purchased or were given, and what year was that?

Songs In The Key Of Life purchased for me by my parents in 1977 for getting good grades in school. Not only was that the first Stevie album I ever owned, but it was the first album I ever owned in my record collection PERIOD!!!

2. The first video you remember seeing; and which is your favourite to date?

Ebony and Ivory and Do I Do. Both of these videos aired on a music video show here in Atlanta within the same hour. I favor Do I Do though with Stevie out on the dance floor at this club and them honeys coming up to him and kissing him on the mouth.Classic moments on that video

3. Have you ever seen him in concert; which tours and how many times?

One time but it was the best concert, to this day, I've ever attended. It was the Character Tour in November of 1988. Stevie came out and played a 3 1/2 set
He played all of his major hits plus most of our favorite Stevie album tracks (Ex...Golden Lady and You And I). He came out and got this amazing night of music off to a wonderful start with the unreleased "WonderMan". Overall, a night of music to measure the rest of my life against

4. Favourite album?

Songs In The Key Of Life

5. Least favourite album?

The Woman In Red, but even that album had some good moments. With Stevie albums, there are usually one or two gems to be found.

6. You favourite Stevie song?

You got to be kidding me...right biggrin

7. A Stevie song you can't stand at all?

I think I would have to say "I Just Called To Say I Love You"

8. Favorite duet or collaboration?

His duet with Sir Paul on a song called What's That You're Doing on Paul's album called TUG OF WAR. Also his duet with Dionne Warwick on "It's You" on THE WOMAN IN RED album

9. Who would you like to see him do a duet with?

A piano and nothing else but a piano..No technology...no gadgets,,,just the man and his keys. I've never seen an r&B/pop artist do so much with just a piano.

10. Favourite Stevie Wonder period: 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's or 00's?

The 90's....SIKE!!!!!
The 70's

11. What artist/s do you see a major Stevie influence in?

How much time you got?

12. Favourite television moment?

When he performed "That Girl" after receiving the Award of Merit for his musical achievements on the 1983 American Music Awards. Everybody was clapping and grooving to the beat of Stevie's mega hit during that time. People always talk about MJ's Billie Jean performance on Motown 25, but this was a stellar moment too...and it aired a few months before Motown 25 in 1983. After Stevie performed, he got a thunderous standing ovation, the same kind of ovation that MJ got after Bille Jean on Notown 25.

13. Favourite B-Side or non-album track?

See vainandy's answer to this question

14. First single you purchased or were given?

Sir Duke. My mom got it for me...a few months before she bought the SITKOL album

15. Last single you purchased or were given?

These Three Words

16. Do you own all regular Stevie Wonder studio album releases? If 'no', what was the last album you purchased?

No. The last album I purchased was Original Musiquarium 1 album. I love this 2-CD retospective as it is a tight overview of his great 70's singles, plus those great 4 "new" songs.....That Girl....Do I Do...Front Line and Ribbon In The Sky.Plus it is 24-bit digitally remastered. Got to love it.

17. Will you be buying the next one?

More than likely I will, the songs I heard on Oprah that he peformed live last year sounded good. Yet I may still play this by ear.

18. Is he your favourite artist overall, or favourite male? If 'no', who is otherwise?

Trumpet guru Freddie Hubbard is my favorite male jazz artist of all time. But Stevie was my first musical hero. His music touched the inner depths of my soul as a child growing up in the 70's. Him and his music will always have a special place with me....until the day I'm no more.

1. The first Stevie Wonder album you purchased or were given, and what year was that?
"In Square Circle" - 1985

2. The first video you remember seeing; and which is your favourite to date?
"I Just Called To Say I Love You" (I know, hideous). My Fave vid is the live "Musik Laden" sessions circa 1975 (ocassionally shown on VH1), otherwise if that don't count, then "Treat Myself" or "For Your Love" - the imagery of the fallen Statue of Liberty still haunts me now!

3. Have you ever seen him in concert; which tours and how many times?
Waitin' 4 him 2 come back 2 the UK!

4. Favourite album?
I can't answer that! it'd be a toss up between "Music Of My Mind" and "Songs In The Key Of Life"

5. Least favourite album?
Don't Be Stupid... okay "Secret Life Of Plants" AND THAT'S AT GUN POINT!

6. You favourite Stevie song?
What kinda questions are these?! "Contusion" is a definite forerunnner but I do love "Seems So Long" and "Stranger On The Shore Of Love"

7. A Stevie song you can't stand at all?
I Just Called To Say I Love You - overrated and overplayed!

8. Favorite duet or collaboration?
Session Drummer on "Happy Song" by Ronnie Foster ("Love Satellite" Album"), although "Just Good Friends" with MJ weren't too bad.

9. Who would you like to see him do a duet with?
Officially Prince, or possibly him and Mary J. Blige doing "I Can't Help It" now THAT would be sumthin'!

10. Favourite Stevie Wonder period: 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's or 00's?
70's no doubt.

11. What artist/s do you see a major Stevie influence in?
A Few: Glenn Lewis (Although I think he has an identity crisis), Frank McComb, Musiq, Lewis Taylor, Omar and YES, Pharrell Williams

12. Favourite television moment?
Surprise performance at the Nelson Mandela 25th Anniversary concert in 1988 @ the old Wembley Stadium, UK.
His equipment got stolen and Whitney Houston wouldn't give him a lot of time on stage but he came on, did "I Just Called..." and "Dark & Lovely" and he got at least a 2-minute standing ovation.
Whitney couldn't get that if she dreamed about it!

13. Favourite B-Side or non-album track?
Feeding Off The Love Of The Land. Could Easily have appeared on "Songs In The Key Of Life" LP.

14. First single you purchased or were given?
Skeletons 7"

15. Last single you purchased or were given?
Skeletons 7"

16. Do you own all regular Stevie Wonder studio album releases? If 'no', what was the last album you purchased?
In the name of "Stevie Wonder", then yes.

17. Will you be buying the next one?
If it ever gets released
