I love greatest hits CDs but nearly everyone one I ever get by artists that have many different hits on different labels and with different formarts, the tracklistings are always missing something. "Immaculate Collection" is a perfect example! I'm not going to commit to anything. | |

I'm really not a fan of greatest hits CDs; I'd rather explore the catalog album by album instead of in one lump sum. The ones I listed above, despite a few small flaws with each, really do good jobs of representing what those artists were doing at the time. That's why I picked 'em. I'm the first mammal to wear pants. | |

Neil Young - Decade 10. Tom Petty's Greatest Hits *I chose the compliation albums I listen to the most AND has a great selection of songs by that artist. I didn't include Prince's The Hits mainly because I never listen to it. I hate the edited versions of songs (esp When Doves Cry) and the sequencing. I have made about 20 other Prince compilations that are MUCH better than that one. | |
