A lot of these are really cool, but I can't help but think they're really stretching for some of 'em... The Replacements album doesn't seem to have anything to do with the Beatles other than sharing the name. Was Some Girls really a tribute to Hard Day's Night? I really don't think Portrait of an American Family by Marilyn Manson had anything to do with the Beatles.
I've always loved the album cover to Paul is Live. So what if it's self-referential? It's a nice little play off the whole "Paul is Dead" thing too. I'm the first mammal to wear pants. | |
