It's a truly moving, and appropriate video - shot throughout Dublin, with a hooded Bono walking the streets alone, unfettered by fame singing the song live, revisiting where he grew up, and the house he used to share with his family as a boy.

One of the most moving scenes being where Bono lies down on the bed in his parents old bedroom, singing.

'You...are ...the...reason...I sing'

Man, that line holds a LOT of power.

PS: Could u imagine if Prince was to ever make a video like this...revisting HIS old haunts? Man, now wouldn't that have been amazing if he'd done that last year.

Unlike a lot of other bands from their time, U2 never really mastered the art of making great videos. They've probably made about 15 or so good clips over the years...


That being said, I definitely think this belongs in the upper echelon of their video catalog. I really like the emotion behind the 'sing, you're the reason I sing' part.

Must say, though, Bono's really starting to look old. All of those nights of drinking and smoking are taking a toll.

By the way, rumor has it that this will be the song they play at tonight's Grammy awards.

i love this song!!!! It makes want to cry, but that damn bono just dries my tears!!!
