Lenny Kravitz Tour (Who Did He Steal This Idea from (LOL)

One Night Only Tour

Lenny Kravitz kicks off the U.S. leg of his Electric Church: One Night Only world tour on April 5 in Dallas, TX. The trek will feature the singer performing a series of theater dates in 27 cities across the US and Canada, including Atlanta, Philadelphia, D.C., Milwaukee, Minneapolis and Los Angeles, where the tour wraps on May 22.

. "I haven't been able to play for my fans in the US since 2002, so I'm really looking forward to these shows," said Lenny Kravitz. "When I was planning my American tour, I decided that I wanted to get back to my roots, strip down the production and do something different. I haven't played theaters in years, and don't know when I'll be able to do it again, so this tour is going to be a great way to get out there and really connect with my fans."

Wow, I know there are a lot of Lenny haters on this site, but that's ok, his fans don't mind. I for one am looking forward to seeing Lenny again in Toronto. He puts on a great show and it's sure beats paying money to see the lip-syncers and yoga posers. wink

I agree. I'm not quite sure why so many people truly dislike Lenny. I've seen him 3 times in concert, in various stages of his career. And yeah, he does put on a great show. Me being a black musician, who has always played rock, will always support another black who's doing the same. Sure, he's biting off of Hendrix naming this his "Electric Church" tour, but whatever. Prince has done a lot of biting off of Hendrix himself, so that's nothing new either. I say right on to them both. They are brothers being able to do what they want.

I think it's just the fact that that idiot Kravitz just isn't original and just keeps scoring with his excellence in biting off and stealing from real artists and musicians...
Lenny Kravitz is just a cheap cover/nostalgia act, if the guy just did something original for a change and developed his own sound (which he still doesn't have) I think he'd get alot more respect from real musicians and artists, now he just gets the respect any $5 marching band consisting of retards without hands would get and he doesn't deserve any better...
This also coming from a black musician...

I'm glad to see a black person who appreciates and supports Lenny. There doesn't seem to be many out there. I think there are a lot of artists that are much less talented than Lenny getting props. He may not be the most talented or the most original but I've always enjoyed his music. I know I'm gonna enjoy his concert too. I have no doubt about that.

Well, first off, you can't be more of a "real" musician than I am. That said, do I admire Lenny as an artist? No. Musically, his stuff has always been a retread of something or somebody else. And no, he doesn't have his own sound. But, as another black musician, I do respect Lenny as a black man trying to do his think regardless. I won't knock Lenny for digging Zeppelin and Prince and wearing his influences on his sleeve. That's his way of showing it, then so be it. No, he's not the most talented cat to have ever got down, BUT he's been around in this biz since 89 and that's no small feat.
