weather songs... again (question) Ok guys, next annoying question by Marie. In two weeks I need to teach English to a bunch of 15 year olds. I phoned the teacher yesterday and she told me one of the topics was going to be... Shakespeare and 'the weather'.
In need to use an old-fashioned manual, called 'Headway'. But I want to spice up this weather-thing. I just saw a thread about songs with weather-elements. Now I'm thinking about songs which contain much 'weather-vocabulary' like 'it's foggy, the rain is falling, etc...' all in one song. Any ideas???

Hmm the first song to comes to my mind is "It's Raining Men" by the Weather Girls. They don't have any other weather conditions mentioned in the song, but that's the only one I could think of. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Thanks. I'll check out what I don't know yet!
I know some songs of Jacques Brel that are paintings of nature and weather-conditions. Very beautiful, but in French of course. So much harder to get to think about an English song. I'd like to use one with a meaning, if you know what I mean, like songs by Leonard Cohen and such.

You should check out some U2.
Bono only writes about the weather (and occasionally love). Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.
