"Boogie Nights" Heatwave I forgot about this song until I saw the video for it on VH1 Classic Soul hour on Thursday.
The video was funky and they was doing this pumpin dance and the other one looked kinda gay and the lead singer was a cutie. I never seen them b4 but after seeing the video I was like Please do not mention "Always and Forever" in this thread..I cringe everytime that damn song gets played at my job [Edited 2/12/05 11:55am] Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Love this song. It's one of Rod Temperton's best, and sounds a lot like Off the Wall (which he also wrote). And, yeah, I've seen the video several times on VH1 Classic. They thrust their hips for the entire verse. It's really damn funny to watch them do that the whole time. Coincidentally, the chord progression in Pet Shop Boys' West End Girls always reminded me of this song, and then at the end of the Heatwave, they even mention something about "west side." Hmmm...

I don't have VH1 Classic but I recorded that video when VH1 used to air "8 Track Flashback".
They are getting off in that video and I like the guy with the perm. He looks too cool. Andy is a four letter word.

I've noticed I don't dig too many songs with "Boogie" in the title, and this one is no different. But the thing is, I LOVE the jazzy intro with the harp. After that I have to flip the switch. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.
