Whats with the contradiction?

They portray Otis Williams as this holy saviour but treat David Ruffin like shit through the whole story(even tho both are one bean split in 2)?

I don't get it.

All n' all, the movie.

You need to read the book otis williams wrote 6-7 years back about the Temps it gives more detail. Otis litterally holds the whole group together though personal and professional troubles. And the movie is told though his eyes as he is the ONLY ORIGINAL member left alive!!!

The movie was based on Otis' memoirs, so it's pretty much his side of the story, although the Tempts' story in general is a great one no matter who tells it.
I have a book that is absolutely HILARIOUS, and gives real (almost too real) insight into both sides of the story. It's called Deliver Us From Temptation. It was written by a guy named Tony Turner. He was the road manager for David and Eddie when they were touring as ex-Tempts in the 80's. He gives the scoop not only the Tempts, but on Mary Wilson, Marvin, Diana Ross and a host of others. A very informative and entertaining read!

What trips me out is that they still go on tour and people pay to see them. I love The Temptations but I would never pay good money to see an entire group of replacements except for one.
