Duran Duran help Since I know the org has a healthy population of Duran Duran fans, I figured this would be the best place to ask my question.
I've been holding off buying Notorious on CD because the first 4 DD CDs have been remastered (Duran Duran-Arena); I do have it on vinyl, but the needle on my turntable is broken. Anyway, are there any plans to remaster this album? If so, has a relase date been announced yet? My copy of Greatest looks like it went through a war, and I'm really itching to hear teh full version of Skin Trade anyway. I'm the first mammal to wear pants. | |

It probably ever will, but indeed, didn't hear anything about it...
anyway, why just don't buy the album? It is in midprice, so you wont hurt yourself by buying it now! It is a great album... so go!!!!  the beautiful ones, you always seem to loose | |

I highly doubt that it will be remastered anytime soon... they've had a hard enough time with the few they've gotten done, and I haven't seen any news of this in the works. Definitely buy the CD, you can find copies in stores and on Ebay for reasonable prices. I still own a vinyl copy AND a cassette of that album!! *telling my age* Diana Duranies rock on!!!! | |

*telling my age* Well, I'm right there with ya then... I have those, too. Actually, Notorious is by far my favorite disc from them (even counting their rip off of Prince on the track Skin Trade - listen to it and New Position on head phones). | |

Don't fight it, go buy it. It's my 2nd fave release (on cassette as well) of theirs next to Rio. It sounds like a complete project, and not rushed like Seven and the Ragged Tiger. If there's a used record store, I'm sure you can find it at a decent price, or order through amazon.com, prolly for less than $12 in good condition.  This is absolutely one of their BEST albums. It's their funkiest, that's for sure... With Nile Rodgers producing, how can you go wrong?!?!? If all you want is Skin Trade, you'll be more than pleasantly surprised. American Science just drips with sensuality, Vertigo has some power chords by Nick and Winter Marches On is beautifully ethereal... So Misled is probably my favorite track on the cd. | |
