Fleetwood Mac Rumours...deluxe edition I know little about Fleetwood Mac but as a huge fan of the original album for many years (probably coz my mum never stopped playing it) I was thinking of getting the deluxe edition. I'm sorely tempted but at 28 euros I know I can't really afford it (although if chelsea and manu both win 1-0 this weekend I'll hit the jackpot)
So assuming I don't hit the jackpot, should I save my money or is it worth it? I need for there to be a few gems on the 2nd cd, not just a historical document that no one ever listens to.

Yeah, some cool demos and stuff but it's worth the price alone for the improved sound quality of the original album. And the fact that Silver Springs is finally included, too.

I bought this Deluxe Edition last year and it is nice. But I must admit,I haven't really listened to Disc Two yet, with all the demos, alternate versions, etc. But like Cloudy says, this set is worth it just for the improved sound quality of the original album.

I put this on reserve at my local library. I can't believe how many CD's they have there. I can browse the catalog online, reserve what I'd like, and when it comes in, I just go pick it up.
I've been borrowing alot of CD's from the library....my iPod is very happy. NP: Bee Gees, For The Record

Thanks for the advice. In spite of my dire financial situation I went ahead and bought it and now have a whole new appreciation for the album, and the band. The sound quality is truly exceptional and now every song is my favourite. Silver Springs is essential in every way though I prefer the longer version on disc 2...simply stunning. Inspired by this I plunged further and bought Tusk and Fleetwood Mac. Rhiannon and Sara completely blew me away I think I'm becoming obsessed with Stevie Nicks.

The self-titled album is my favorite Fleetwood Mac album. It contains my two favorite songs by them: "Say That You Love Me" and "I'm So Afraid".In fact,I like this album even more than 'Rumours'.
