LOL, you make it sound like Madonna's tour was a failure
Honey, Prince took more money home from his tour due to lower production costs.
Madonna's grossed more.

Some of her early demos are great, like Love For Tender and High Society.

Do you have that "Emmy and the Emmys:First Time Out Of Manhattan" bootleg? Is it worth hunting down?

Madonna's tour grossed over $124 million,if you include the European dates. She had a good year, and if she had played more shows (instead of just 56),she would have done even better. It's okay to take a little time off.Let Michael have all the media attention right now...lol...Maddy will be back at year's end with several new projects.

MADONNA 2 PLAY CANDY DARLING?

After more than ten years of waiting, it seems Madonna finally will be drag -Candy Darling on the big screen.

According to todays' edition of Sun

"MADONNA is to play a transvestite in a Hollywood film — and she has agreed to do it for free.

The Queen Of Pop has been chasing the role of drag queen CANDY DARLING for years but has just signed the deal."

Darling starred in a number of ANDY WARHOL films and provided LOU REED with the inspiration to write CANDY SAYS and WALK ON THE WILD SIDE.

An insider says, "Madonna has been desperate to make a film where she can earn respect for her acting abilities. She is still trying to shake off the bad publicity from the movie SWEPT AWAY. She sees this as her big chance.

"She has wanted to play this part for so long because she feels so strongly about the character.

"She said she would do anything for the part and has agreed to work for free."

The final talks were held during a fleeting visit to New York at the end of January.

She met up with her close friend and unofficial movie agent Bryan Lourd to plan her next move in the movie business.

She then got together with producers from the Candy project - which is still to be named - and agreed to star.

She also met the team producing the film version of James Ellroy's novel The Black Dahlia.

I know, when i read that i shook my head

After all this time hasn't she realized that making records is her real craft and going on stage.

It's disappoinging she still feels the need to prove herself as an actress

It would be cool if she would settle for small supporting roles. She always does well in those types of films("Dick Tracy","A League Of Their Own",etc) but often fails when she stars in a film.People don't take her seriously and it becomes a "Madonna movie",overshadowed by her superstar persona.

hmmm if she'd be chasing this role for a long time, I think I would have heard about it. never have. sounds bogus.

Actually I put two bids on ebay, just making sure I got at least one copy of Pre-Madonna for my sister's birthday gift. I planned on keeping the second copy if I won both auctions, but I only won one of the two auctions. So my sister has it, and I still don't have my own copy of Pre-Madonna. She's a bigger fan than I am..

In the months and weeks leading up to a new Madonna album, there are always tons of rumors, fake tracklists, and silly misinformation being reported by so-called "insiders".Remember in 2002,we were hearing that Maddy was working on a rock album to be titled 'Rock Vanity'? LOL,it looks like the crazy rumors are spreading this time too.Let's use this thread to report any news that is circulating. Here is what we have heard so far...

***RUMORED TRACKS---

"You're The One"
"If You Were Here"
"I Love New York"
"Liquid Love"
"In An Instant"
"Haunted"
"Goddess"
"Imagine"

HERE'S THE SCOOP---It has already been revealed that two of these titles---"Haunted" and "Goddess"---are fakes. In fact, these songs are from another artist's album (Poe's 'Haunted' CD)."Liquid Love" is a William Orbit collaboration from 2000;supposedly,Maddy wants to re-work this song and include it on the album."If You Were Here" has been described as a hot dance track. The song known as "You're The One" will actually be called something else;the current title is tentative. As for "Imagine",it seems highly unlikely that Madonna will include it on the album.I heard that a studio version exists, but I can't "imagine" her using it.Remember in 2002,there was a rumor that she recorded a version of David Bowie's "Ziggy Stardust"? And obviously, that never appeared on 'American Life'.So far, nothing is known about the other two songs---"I Love New York"and "In An Instant".The lyrics for the latter were posted on at least one fansite, but who knows if it's the real thing?

***RUMORED PRODUCERS---Stuart Price,Patrick Leonard (as songwriter),Martin Gore, and William Orbit for one track.Other names have been mentioned (Basement Jaxx,Goldfrapp, even Mirwais, lol),but those names are highly unlikely.I think Maddy is just recording demos right now with several different collaborators, experimenting and trying to see what works and what doesn't.All of these producers and their songs won't be used.I predict she will soon decide which producer will be the main collaborator, and discard the other songs. These days, she likes to have only one main producer for an entire album.

***FIRST SINGLE AND VIDEO---Not that they're the most reliable source, but the Sun has just reported the following:

"The mother of two is also working on her as-yet untitled album, and is already planning to have a karate theme in the video for the first single from it"

lol what do you guys think?

UK newspaper The Sun has reported that Madonna has used the London Community Gospel Choir on a new track for her album.
The choir, who previously worked on Nothing Fails, are supposed to have already secretly recorded their part in a London studio recently.
The choir have also previously worked with Stevie Wonder, Sting, Sir Paul McCartney, Tina Turner, George Michael, Elton John and Sean 'P Diddy' Combs.

Yeah,I heard that rumor too. This time though,if she uses the choir,I hope it's an uptempo song.Yeah I know there will be comparisons to "Like A Prayer",but I don't care.I've always loved hearing a choir on a kickass dance track.

lol hey,Maddy could easily follow Janet and Michael's lead and get a ton of plastic surgery work done, but she has wisely avoided doing so.I'd rather for her to look her age instead of looking cold and artificial.

absolutely!
People should realize madonna is 46 and not 23 anymore.

Every person in this world suffers from the horrible disease called.... aging.

However unlike MJ or Cher, Madonna has decided to just let herself age.
So what if those pics are airbrushed, you think MJ and Janet have never been airbrushed before? that's insane
