If Gwen Stefani had put out "Kish Kash" instead of Basement Jaxx...

what would've happened?

Listening to "Kish Kash" I can't help but think of Stefani's release and how less inspiring "LAMB" seems. KK is THE party album.

Yeah, if she did put out something like that, it would be a big hit.

I much prefer Gwen's CD...it's like a teen-pop satire, with funky beats.
Kish Kash has some nice moments, love "Lucky Star," but also some clunkers...in fact I can't remember anything from the second half.

I like Gwen's too, but I feel if she had could she probably would've put out something like KK (just a hunch). I somewhat like her idea for the Harajuki thang but where KK is aggressive and edgy, lots of LAMB is light and 80's.

Next time (hope there is one), I do hope she'll come off a little less frivolous. It was lots of fun for one album, but I do think it'll be tough to pull off again.

I can't name a more FUN album from the past year than Gwen Stefani's.

Cish Cash is my favorite song from this album and I can see Gwen doing this song. I think her vocals would've been better for it than Siouxsie Sioux's.

I can see some similarities between the two albums in question but overall I think 'LAMB' is the more satisfying record. 'Kish Kash' has some great moments but is rather dreary and a bit undercooked. A weaker effort than 'Remedy' and 'Rooty'. 'LAMB' is consistently strong throughout and brimming with ideas both from Stefani and her collaborators.

Got that right.

I have Basemnt Jaxx's first 2 albums and listened 2 the third. I was dissapointed in the last one. LAMB was much much more fit for her. Plus it was more fun.
