Tina Turner's "Open Arms"

I really like this song. More than the last few singles. I do think it could have used a hand production wise though. It could be a very funky track. It seems like an Al Green song to me. Maybe there's a chance in hell that it could rise on the singles chart and do as well as the album.

doubtful. it's an okay track, but nothing great. granted, it's better than the god-awful Complicated Disaster. but Something Special is the keeper of the new tracks.

I didn't like it when I heard it on the radio the first time. It's a very light and bouncy pop track. The production is good enough. I like it and am really digging the new double album overall. Could have used stuff like "Acid Queen" or "Fool In Love", though.

"Complicated Diaster" is a keeper for me. I really like the writing and Tina's singing. "Something Special" is nice, too. I think all the songs have a chance of at least breaking the charts. Tina is doing a surprising amount of promotion for a greatest hits CD and I could see something like "Open Arms" getting those older music fans who love Ms. Turner into downloading the song or getting it added to AC stations. I don't think a song like that will win any young fans over, though.
