Funny thing is, Narada first set out from home, as a teenager, to try to play with Jimi Hendrix! "I thought that I could convince him that I had the chops to be the combination of Mitch Mitchell and Buddy Miles!...." he said in an interview. (he ended up playing with both Buddy and Mitch in later years, at tribute concerts.) Hendrix unfortunately passed before Narada could meet him, but at age 20, he ended up meeting John Mclaughlin(Mahavishnu), joined his band, and eventually hooked up with Jeff Beck and Carlos Santana, and the rest is history....
