I watched the second half of it last night. MJ seemed so down to earth. I havent seen him so down to earth in ages. I think its interesting how buddy buddy Geraldo seemed with MJ. In the past, Geraldo has been a harsh crtic of MJ. | |

they say michael had pornos and porno mags around the bedroom ... exactly where the kids were with him .... !!?? in one way Geraldo is a journalist ... and also an atty ... so you would wanna think ... he is taking a stand obviously FOR MJ .... but then ... is any of it that we are getting .... really true ... or not .... who knows ... there are those that will BELIEVE anything that MJ says ....  | |

It´s interesting that people were not asking this question when that Bashir thing aired. It´s amazing how anything negative is automatically considered to be real by the public (the non-MJ-supportive public) and anything pozitive about MJ is considered to be a game, where he´s trying to "be normal". To be honest guys, as an MJ fan, reading his interviews I´ve always found him very "down-to-earth" and watching this interview I thought to myself. Finally - now that´s the MJ I know. I didn't see the show, but I did read the transcripts. I've never been a HUGE fan of Geraldo, but at least he is trying to give Michael the opportunity to speak to the public. There has been so much negative press presented by various sources about Michael and of course the case that maybe Geraldo is just trying to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. On MSNBC and Court TV, I saw two journalists and many others agree that for them the presumption of innocence does not apply outside of the courtroom. In fact, a defense attorney, the one with long grey hair who wears a sort of Southwestern style leather jacket, challenged Dan Abrams(sp?) on that very point. Well, they agreed to disagree, but it's a shame that professional jounalists with a legal background are essentially denying Michael of his rights to a fair trial in the court of public opinion, thus convicting the guy even before any shred of evidence has been allowed. So I don't know the nature of Geraldo's motives, but at least he is giving Michael a platform and a chance to show that he isn't necessarily whacko. | |

Get'em Mike. You go boy!I totally agree. I found myself cheering after he said that. He had so much grace and class. I was really proud of him for that. The interview showed us a little more about what MJ is really like and how he thinks and it was really quite understandable, looking at things from his poit of view. This was probably the first time that he has given an interview (in the last 2 years or so) where I wasnt feeling my skin crawl or felt compelled to yell at the tv set. MJ sent a clear and concise message and I think that he will harvest the benefits of that. He did a good job. Another thing. I am so glad that he has finally come out and said that he will NEVER have sleepovers with kids again. I just want to know what took so damn long?!  | |
