I've been away for a month, so I'm not sure if anyone's already started a thread about this, but I looked back to the last 15 pages of topics or so and didn't notice it, so post your comments on this album here.


It contains a lot less of what blew me away on Deserter's Songs and All Is Dream (orchestration, mellotron, theramin, bow saws, eerie choir vocals, etc.) and is a much more straightforward rock record.

I wasn't even aware this existed. I used to really love Mercury Rev - See You on the Other Side in particular. I kinda fell off the wagon with All Is Dream. I did like the album, but it didn't become an obsession the way their earlier records had....

Just out of curiousity - did David Fridmann produce the new album?

but not that surprising, really. Jon Snow is a character from a fairly popular fantasy series, so i'm guessing there are alot of people using that username for various sites, etc..
