Do you subscribe to Billboard?

If so, can you help me?

An old friend of mine, Jennifer Popkin, passed away this week after a battling cancer for a few years. There is a story about her passing in the Feb. 2, 2005 edition of Billboard. I would really like to read it but cannot find it. I would really appreciate it if you could help me out. Thanks in advance.

Are you sure about the issue date? Billboard issue dates are every Saturday so it would be either January 29th or the February 5th issue. I have the Jan. 29th issue, but not the Feb 5th one. The Feb 5th issue should still be on newsstands now. The next issue, Feb 12th, doesn't arrive at newsstands until early next week (with the exception of Tower Records in NYC which gets it's copies Friday afternoon).

That is a good question. I actually got the date from the online edition. At the site, I can see the headline, but can't access the story. I will see if I can find the 5th on the newsstand, but have struckout so far (although i have not checked a decent stand yet). Apparently, if you are a subscriber, you can access the online edition by entering your subscription number located on the address label of your copy of the magazine. I am hoping someone can do this for me.

Thanks.

I found the paragraph about your friend. It's in the Feb 12th issue of Billboard on sale nationwide next week. Like I said before Tower Records in NYC gets their copies early and I picked up a copy last night. It's on page 54, the last paragraph in the Mileposts section.

Thank you very much! I will pick up that issue. I appreciate the help, a lot.
