So not only did it basically undo all the respect she'd gained via her music, it made her appear "desperate" and "over". There is simply no comparison between Madonna and Britney music-wise. [Edited 2/6/05 4:16am] The thing i most admired about Madonna is that she never kissed anyones ass in her career and did it solely on her own. But now, out of all people she's kissing ass towards Britney and Christina and even Missy Elliot for godsake. She should just go back to being herself Apparently she's making an appearance on Missy's reality show. That's ultra-lame - Paula Abdul wouldn't stoop so low. [Edited 2/6/05 6:58am]

M: Actually, I was a bit nervous about meeting you, because of what you said about Madonna at the Q awards. Obviously, my live show isn't completely live either ... EJ: No, but it's a completely different thing, it's electronic music. I'm not going to get upset if I go and see Kraftwerk and it's not all completely live. I just think you shouldn't expect people to pay money to see someone sing live and then lip-synch. The official reason I heard was that she can't sing live while doing the full crab position. Well, don't do the fucking full crab position, then! Nobody's paid to come and see you do yoga! They've paid to hear you sing! This is one of the funniest things I've ever read! Go Elton! I love most of his 70s material, but afterwards he was losing it. And now he's got this whole queenly attitude. Once in a while he revives his career with a death (as you said) or working with Disney... And funny he has to get Justin Timberlake to act as him in his music videos because he can't be bothered.

jayaredee said: This must be the "crab position" Elton was talking about, seeing as it was the only yoga during the show. madonna definitely did more yoga moves than the one above. all throughout vogue she was "vogueing" via yoga positions and in nobody likes me she was busting out some yoga as well. i'll admit, though, she didnt do much yoga and she didn't lip sync much at all which is why the whole conversation is moot.

that is the crab that is the scropian You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

Those who have actually seen the show unlike Elton, would know he is pretty fucked up in what he is saying. Those who agreed with Elton such as Brian May have never attended a madonna concert in their life, yet feel that they know madonna inside out. The comparison to Madonna and Britney is fucking sad. Madonna's biggest mistake IMHO was associating herself non-stop with that bimbo in 2003 (and she's *STILL* doing it!). She must have done really well in How To Tarnish Your Legacy 101. Understandibly so... I don't like Britney actually you can damn well say I HATE HER! i've learned to respect Madonna, cause she has talent, some-what I have attended a Madonna Concert, I enjoyed it, but i didn't like the lip synching, but i'll give any artist who gives a workout their due... She pulls a Fantastic Show, But unfortunately im more impressed with a person with phenominal instrument playing and Singing ability which is asking for to much with Madonna... if i wanted to see a show i'd go to broadway NO OFFENSE!

The truth of the matter is sure Madonna lipsyncs, but her fans like it. There really is no more need for discussion. But I persoanlly thing she's a lazy ole heffa! Her best show (Girlie) was if I'm not mistaken totally sung live (With the exception of "Vogue" which is pretty much tradition to be lipsanc. It wouldn't feel right any other way. But ironically I had the feeling she actually did it live for Re-Invention). Girlie showed she can do a live show but refuses to. Even her Virgin tour seemed miles ahead of lipsynced performances of today (Duff, Simpson, Lohan).
