Like many early/mid 90s shows, it has aged poorly. Take a look at the wardrobes. And when I think best TV shows of all-time, I don't think All in the Family, Maude, Golden Girls, Mary Tyler Moore, Honeymooners and Fresh Prince. neutral I've said it before, his stuff from the Rock the House era was fantastic, but nowadays...ugh.

He's thinking "Reading scripts is overrated". The more ads I see for it, the more painful it looks...but not half as bad as the "Son Of Mask". I can't wait to read the terrible reviews on that! Opps...I didn't pay attention and was reffereing to the new movie....My statement still stands, though!

Where is everyone hearing this. Maybe now that I have Air America, I must really never listen to pop radio because I had no idea he had a new single out.

I never listen to radio but found out about it through a friend and was quite frightened.

Uhhh...no! Air America is a liberal channel that is on AM stations here in America (although I'm sure overseas they'd love it). It's basically taking Bush and Connie to ask...I love it!

Uh, you ever heard of The Cosby Show? Fresh Prince lifted a hell of a lot from that.

Will Smith was on 106th and Park today and they premiered the video for Switch.

I love Will but the video was lame.

He's normally a good dancer, but that dance where you clap your hands and switch partners was too Brady Bunch for the 106th and Park crowd. Fans clapped and later said the video was "fire" though. How sweet. One girl even said the beat was good for dancing.

It didn't help that the video was sandwiched between two hardcore rap videos (one from 50 cent) . It came off as soft.

The lyrics weren't that great and Will stood between hoochie mamas but was too afraid to touch them.
They were out of place for his video and he looked awkward.

At the beginning of the song I think he told one hoochie not to come to a club dressed as she was. Now, I'm sick of all these half-naked people, myself. But I'm sure that killed the song for some. No one wants him to preach. In the lyrics he told the hoochie he was only coming to dance not to go home with her.

Admirable ethics. But there is no way kiddies are going to call in and place this song on the charts.
He's above the gutter mentality driving hip pop today. So, he comes across as lame and too mature.

He was even trying to show a BET employee how to dance ... and to me the guy was dancing better than Will. Will, what is up?? You are out of touch with youth culture. Embrace your adulthood. (Only LL can make middle aged rap. -- oh and Will was at one time mimicking L with his biceps showing and talking into a microphone like in the mama said knock you out video.)

He should go out as a big movie star, not a washed up sesame street rapper.

Will, I beg you not to release this 90's sounding song. Destroy the album.

Clapping your hands with aliens was bad enough.

I will go to see Hitch, of course. but will not buy this album.

And Will had no flow or lyrical prowess whatsoever.

I was soo embarassed for him and was glad no one booed.

They were probably showing deference because of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

I do agree that the show has aged well (the outfits don't count, ... all wardrobes date). It's as funny now as ever. Especially the middle and later shows. (I never thought the initial episodes were funny).

Good comedy remains good comedy.

Anyway, did anyone else see Smith on 106th and Park???
