Anyone watch 100 greatest pop videos countdown?

Guess who won?

"Thriller" by Jacko. This was public voted but u had to chose from a list of 100. In other words u could not vote 4 any old shit (unfortunately)

"sledge hammer" by Peter Gabriel was no.2

So u agree or suprised? I sure was....."billy jean" was in the top 10 aswell!

Glad to see Aha got to number 3. That was a revolutional video in its day. But what the hell was Beyonce and the Verve doing in there? There was nothing special about those videos at all.

The same could be said for Nivana. The vote was supposed to be about the video, not the song or musicial movement.

It surprises me that Björk never tops these lists. She's got some of the most innovative videos ever made. "Thriller" !?!?!? disbelief

I suppose you like a video that Thriller didn't influence.

I was rather annoyed that beyonce was in the top 20? good to see Hammer in there though in all seriousness.....

Fatboy slim's vid was rather low down? Where was Paula Abdul's "opposites attract"? Seriously that was a good video.....

Blah, blah, blah Thriller is at the top of another countdown. I'm not saying that it doesn't deserve to be there, but I'm tired of it being the only contender for "best video ever". It's the epitome of a MJ video, though. Flashy video, intricate choreography, expensive costumes... As I said in the MC Hammer thread, it's not what I look for in a great video. I'd rather watch 'Ashes to Ashes' by David Bowie or 'Bedtime Story' by Madonna.

That damn Queen video needs to go too mind.....u seen that Madonna video where it is sorta like citizen kane with the snow and all? I think it was off "like a prayer" album? Haunting song and beutifully shot video.....anyone help me out?

"Oh Father" is the name of the video. This is an example of what I consider a "great video". It's one of the most artful videos I've seen by a major artist.

Great video and an even greater cd. Graceland is such an amazing cd. I love every song. Paul Simon is a fantastic songwriter.

Thriller is a great video too. In it's day, nothing was even close to it.

Yeah, "graceland" is one of my all time fav's.the lyrics are fantastic as is the production and that bass playing is awesome! I don't really like Paul's other stuff much, but "graceland" rules and really was a groundbreaker at the time.....

Paul plays arrogent in the video (he is arrogent but anyway biggrin ).....but it is perfect 4 the video though. He plays the striaght man as the programme said. I He does well not to laugh at Chevy.....
